I also would like to know how many refugees they will be welcoming to Vatican city?

According to the interview, two families, one for each parish church.

No it actually isnt, if you arent a surgeon, you know as much as google, nothing more nothing less, based on modern medicine, dont think by just putting a Dr. title behind anything makes you productive.

You wanna hear philosophical thinking or you wanna hear, stop living in a fantasy, you dont make this world go round.
Golden age is over, so is everything that goes with it. Including your comfort

Competing what? What you learn at a young age is the society, what do you think it is, some freemason ideals taught in at the dining table?

You may not have caused it, but what are you doing to help stop it?

The only way the refugees problem will go away is if we help restore the peace in Syria. The allied response and strategies are making things ten times worse so far and ISIS grows in strength because of it.

Make Syria safe, the people can return home and no more refugees.

Simple really.

The Pope is absolutely on the money with his comments. Jesus ransacked the temple for all of the monetary activities that were taking place in it. He is calling out Christianity for doing the same and not opening their doors to people in need. We all know the story of the good Samaritan. That us what he is asking them to do.

Go Mr Pope

I think that this confirms the semi-rant I made about these two un-qualified for the position/roles they occupy because they are both anti-gospel Communist-Marxist-Socialists, two birds of a feather ~ As In: (FOWL/ FOUL) persons

Hmm, isn't Vatican city one of the wealthiest places in the world and while Germany is going to take 800 000, Vatican City takes two families? If anything, the Vatican should help out way more and lead by example. My apologies if I sound judgmental, I am just having a hard time wrapping my head around this whole thing.

Vatican city is only one square mile in size, with most of that area being the cathedral. So, the Vatican per se is not really equipped to take in these people.

The Pope has just called out to the rest if the church and said take them in. That IS taking action to do something.

Do that and then you will see how unfounded all those claims of having the world handed to you on a silver platter.

The fact you call people parasites is sad.

I love that the pope is saying this, hell ya they should follow their teachings or prepare to lose the benefits of being a church.
Also agree the Vatican should take them in as well.

Jesus would have been a dirty communist Marxist or what ever other derogatory term you want to use.

Plain and simple.

Just one example of this pope being extra qualified.

Sharing is caring

Sharing is an act of freewill and freely given.

When the government comes and takes from me against my will, that is theft. Get it right.

The Pope should mind his own business and let me mind mine. What I share is none of his business to judge and if the Catholic Church is allowing their convents and the like to become hotels, that's their problem.

I think you need to go study Christ's teachings more. He often taught in the context of prosperous landowners, and when Judas rebuked Martha for using an expensive perfume to wash Jesus's feet instead of selling it for the poor, Jesus rebuked Judas by saying that poor would always be with you but He would not. In other words, He knew Judas was motivated by greed not charity and that Martha was giving of her self and means to someone else, even if it was to Christ and not the nebulous poor.

I think we would have to agree to disagree there.
Plenty in the bible to show that he was for you to give up your riches to the poor that needed it.

The Vatican may be one of wealthiest places in the world, but it has less than 600 inhabitants.

If anything, the Vatican should help out way more and lead by example.

That's what the Pope is doing, he said the European parishes should accept one family each, so both Vatican parishes are accepting one.

He was minding his own business, he was talking about religious orders.

The Vatican should shut the hell up! Buy a country with some land and use all their fake wealth to give the refugees a home, China has some land available.

So you think that the Pope shouldn't be saying that the church should accept the refugees?

I have a suspicion that the Vatican could house, feed and cloth every refugee family for the rest of their lives and still be wealthy. I also have a suspicion that they would never do it. I understand that there is not much land at Vatican city, but they could pay for it all and never even bat an eye, they just wouldn't.
