A fool is someone who lacks full understanding. I am a fool in the sense that I do not know the answer to the "how" or "why", I lack full understanding to those questions. One who is a fool does not worry either. That is my interpretation at least.

May I ask?

Did you google that?

BTW, a question for you,

do you think there is such a thing as "Enlightenment"?

No, I just know what a fool is. Why do you ask?

I believe there is such thing as enlightenment, sure. Do you believe there isn't?

Like Kansas once said: "And if I claim to be a wise man, well, it surely means that I don't know." To not know is to be a fool. Foolish and wise are said to be on opposite ends of the spectrum but as Jesus said "many who are first will be last and many who are last shall be first" and "those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted", same concept.

There's many success stories. Anita Moorjani saw the other side and she kbows using Faith to do miracles is real and she did it. Many people lack faith.

How come they never show the many people who die from regular medicine on the mainstream news? Why do they always show the few cases of when fairh healing didn't work?

Note: I'm NOT saying to not take medicine. That wasn't my point. My point is that Faith without doubt has the power to do things which people are being taught is impossible.

There is some merit to what you say. Faith and prayer has a compelling effect. But in a sense it is only a technique to lessen stress and fear, by forcing oneself to focus inside so as to avoid what is occurring outside. It's a small form of hibernation for a tired soul.

I wanted to know the source of your knowledge
about the concept of what a 'fool' in this context
is.

Let me ask you another question. Would Buddha
have gone with a tag saying, "3NL1GHT3N3D1"?

Now I imagine you think i'm 'attacking you', but
rest assured, I am not. I'm just interested in
what you know and how your mind works.

I was going to use Jesus in that question BTW,
but he was all over the map between Son of Man
and Son of God so it wouldn't have made a good
question.

The Romans should have used a better editing
source than Josephus in my opinion, but that
is another whole topic.

On 'Enlightenment' - what becomes 'Enlightened'?

BTW, did you know that in the Yoga traditions anyway,
there are specific symptoms said to occur at the moment
of 'Enlightenment' and ones who 'achieve that' will never
tell anyone what transpired?

If that's true in your opinion, why do you think that is?
Any ideas?

He probably wouldn't have chosen this name to be honest. I made this screen name a little over 3 years ago before I knew what I know now. Maybe I had a bit of a superiority complex when I was first delving into my spiritual side, but it is what it is at this point, no changing it now unless I want to start all over.

Also, Jesus was the Son of Man and Son of God, he is both. Man is flesh, God is Spirit. The image is the melding of both flesh and Spirit.

What becomes enlightened? Nothing in particular, it's just a word for the concept of gnosis, knowing thyself.

They won't tell anyone what transpired because the event cannot be explained in our limited languages. In order to understand that moment you have to experience it, it is pointless to try and explain it with words because words cannot explain it in any meaningful way.

At the moment of enlightenment it is realized that there is no one - so how could anyone be told what had transpired?

Reality has many levels:

A human being on the outside may have a sickness you don’t see.

That is a more true reality than the outward appearing “healthy” person

One has to have a grasp OF ALL THESE LEVELS to know truth

When you figure out how to do that you will have come full circle.

Do you know the difference between SalviKalpa Samahdi
and NirvhiKalpa Samahdi? Are these concepts valid?
Are they important?

So how does one know whether their 'awakening' is the real
deal, or whether it's just more recycled new age pablum?

What if the 'truth' about 'reality' was unpleasant? Would you
still want to know 'the truth' ?

If you unconsciously knew that the 'truth' was unpleasant,
would you have the courage to press on to learn the
'inconvenient truth' ?

So what are golden chains, and do you have any?

I might be stepping out soon, so don't take it personally
If I don't respond back right away.

I doubt it.

What if the 'truth' about 'reality' was unpleasant?
There is no truth 'about' reality - there is reality which is the truth.

Would you
still want to know 'the truth' ?
No one can know the truth.

So what are golden chains,
I have no idea.

and do you have any?
Who knows?

Enlightenment is seeing everything there is to see in time and place

Knowing everything there is to know, and knowing that you know it, in time and place

And hearing everything there is to hear in time and place

Right now we hear little, see little, and know little in time and place
Deaf, dumb, and blind

The statement time and place refers to what is vital that you know, see, and hear now, as relates to any blockages that prevent clear sight, clear hearing, and certain knowledge

Is it bad if a spirit gives you golden bracelets to put on your wrists in the astral/spirit realm? What about silver?

Interesting that you mentioned that.

(Note: This is still on topic because my previous post was that SPIRIT is the truth of things not just this physical now that we can see)

Even if loss (death) does occur, there is still (gain).

Life has won and death is defeated. Death kills itself but Life is eternal.

Death kills only yesterday and tomorrow, then Now shines through.

The basis of all religion and cults is to "CEASE THOUGHT" and come to God.

What this thread is really trying to say is that the constant chatter and self talk of the mind is what leads to suffering. The mind and ego self needs problems to give it relevance. Stop pause and smell the roses and most problems don't exist.

There is only the now and action. With action one doesn't get stuck on projecting whether their endeavour will be prone to failure or success.

What I'm saying is that I too was delusional about being 'enlightened'

But one cannot claim to have reached enlightment, to do so is unenlightened. There is only a journey.
