The same thing that happens every time they have a military training exercise in the states. I can bet ONE thing will be true once this whole stupid fiasco is over. The military probably won't EVER tell the media again when they are conducting a training stateside. And I wouldn't blame them.
Unless the training is being conducted on military installations or government land it would be difficult to hide. All it would take is one farmer or rancher coming out and saying the military asked him to allow use of his land for training and the conspiracies would kick into high gear.

You think so? What if I were to tell you that a similar exercise was conducted in the same locations in the early 2000's and we heard not a PEEP from the media about it?

I think it's just a training exercise, that it doesn't mean any impending doom, false flag, invasion, or martial law.

I do, however, think it is a training exercise for a purpose in a specific place, I mean .. is it not?

So while one can ponder on why, it's not the same as crying wolf so to speak, and saying that there's about to be some event. That's just conspiracy theory doom porn, where people get excited over the thought while reading about it or watching videos on Youtube.

And this, is just a training exercise, for reasons, but nothing more.

The Media hasn't really covered this event very much either. The difference between the two I would mostly attribute to a proliferation of social media and youtube. More people get news from alternative sources than MSM today than ever before. In the early 2000's nobody had iPhones or Facebook and access to instantly share videos at high bandwidth to the whole world.

Funny how the internet changes things. Sometimes it's for the best. Other times, for the weird.

But the military also announced the training exercise to the media for this situation as well. That is something they normally don't do. I conducted a few off base trainings while in the military and we didn't announce to any media outlets that we would be driving around, conducting training off post. Heck, once we took a whole convoy from Lawton, OK into western Texas. Just because. No one questioned our presence there as we drove around. We just drove out. Did our scheduled stops then drove back.

Here's what will happen.

Nothing. Not a thing. The military will go about a planned exercise and then go home again. A few vehicles will break down, there will be a couple of accidents and a couple of ND's. It will all be very boring. And then they'll return to wherever they are based.

Exciting stuff.

Maybe they are announcing it because they want to stir the conspiracy pot. Maybe they are the ones that started the conspiracy discussions themselves.

Why would they do this? Maybe they want the people to get hyped up and scared and do something stupid.

You have to admit that this president, a man with lots of questions in his background, not to mention almost un-American policies to boot, a globalist to say the least, has given the American populace good reason to be suspicious. Just sayin'.

Think about it! What would happen if some people did do something stupid...stupid enough to cause the military to do something in turn?

I expect absolutely nothing to happen, as always.

I said the exact same thing before riding out hurricane Katrina.

I'm a veteran, 13F1P (FIST)1st 320th FA when they were with the 82nd Airborne.
A lifelong friend retired recently and was SF his entire 26 years.
Maybe this thread needs to be read:
www.socnet.com...
This whole crap show reminds me of one time we were playing war games (exactly whhat JH is) and needed to get from point A to point B quickly and something happened to our transportation. 9 of us had to take a commercial flight straight from the field, carrying weapons and everything. We even got bitched out for acting like we were going to jump out of the aircraft.
Funny thing is this thread:

But the military has been pretty much adamant that this is a routine training exercise since these conspiracies have hit the news. In FACT, as soon as they hit the MSM, the military pretty much released a statement in Army Times and other military news publications.

Why would they do this? Maybe they want the people to get hyped up and scared and do something stupid.

Yea, because a panicky public is SOOO easy to contain...

No, I don't have to admit to that right wing nonsense at all. I'd be more suspicious of Bush doing something clandestine with the military than Obama and even THEN I don't think anything out of the ordinary would be occurring.

Think about it! What would happen if some people did do something stupid...stupid enough to cause the military to do something in turn?

They'd be arrested by the police.

Have you forgotten that it is now okay per NDAA to use domestic deceptive propaganda? That means they can officially say one thing then say something else to the masses.....you know, "as long as the ends justify the means".

YOU don't have to admit Obama has a questionable background and policies that make Americans suspicious, but lots and lots of Americans do.

They'd be arrested by the police?? What if some of those people ARE they police?

Didn't the top military general sign off on Operation Northwood, just saying.

If anything were to happen it could be a false flag pinned on elements of isis coming over from Mexico. All the media attention gives the excuse that isis knew where to hit them.

Prove it.

YOU don't have to admit Obama has a questionable background and policies that make Americans suspicious, but lots and lots of Americans do.

That doesn't make it true nor the conspiracies surrounding him any more credible. Just because people circulate hearsay about Obama, doesn't mean that you should listen to the conspiracies surrounding him. You should actually have EVIDENCE of said conspiracies not just random musings on the how the guy thinks and behaves.

They'd be arrested by the police?? What if some of those people ARE they police?

Then they'd be put on administrative leave and or fired from whatever police force they work for. You act like there aren't already rules and laws in place to account for these behaviors and that a military response is ABSOLUTELY necessary in case of a civilian deciding to take matters into their own hands.

Good, grief, not this paranoia again! It's a military exercise. They've run them in the past, they'll run them in the future. This is a piece of paranoid puffery by delusional attention seekers like Alex Jones, who belongs in a special jacket that does up at the back.

I'm not pushing paranoia. I'm simply posting what some others have said of the subject and asking for opinions on it. If I was pushing doom porn I'd be telling people to be stocking up on guns, ammo, and canned goods.

I'm not. I'm simply asking for opinions, which have been forthcoming and polite.

Sounds more or less like a small nation wide military synchronization test...They could just be testing their effectiveness, or see which area are more of a risk due to paranoia or how ever you put it.

That's pretty much what I predict as well.

Lot of hype for a non-event.

Lots of right wing news sources are going to be angry that there is a media ban in Jade Helm and spin that as evidence of shadiness even though that is SOP for ALL military training exercises.

Will Martial Law be declared?

Nope.
Just as it wasn't any other time Alex Jones went on a "Martial Law is coming!!!!!" rampage.
I think I've seen him "predict" it about ten times in as many years, and we have yet to see it happen.

Will Skynet Activate and usher in Judgement Day?

Nope.
That's basically just a bunch of teenagers confusing reality with fiction, at they are so prone to do around these parts.

Will you be sent to a FEMA camp hidden inside a Wal-Mart?

I certainly won't be, as I don't live in the US.
But I can guarantee no one else will either.
If anyone is "rounded up" at all during this exercise it will be imaginary enemy participants, and possibly the handful of Constitution-waving, paranoid delusional in Texas who get a little trigger-happy in their mental breakdowns.

originally posted by: ScientificRailgun
Will Texas reject the exercises and secede?

Nope.
Various ignorant fools claim that Texas is going to secede from the union every year.
Just like Martial Law, it's been claimed to be about to happen ten times in the last ten years. It's nonsense ranting by the same Constitution-waving gun nuts with nothing more intelligent to occupy their minds.

I want to know your thoughts on this, and give me your predictions.

My prediction is that the exercise will start, there'll be a hell of a lot of paranoia and fear-mongering on sites like ATS, claiming all kinds of bs about what's actually going on, when the vast majority of people probably won't even know it's happening.

Then it will end when expected, probably again without anyone noticing, and the government and various military branches involved will start the process of analyzing the exercise and the information gathered.

Ultimately it will be a success and help your government and military prepare for urban warfare scenarios, something I think most would agree has never received the kind of attention needed, certainly not in the US.

People should stop wasting their time worrying about the innocuous actions of a government preparing to defend innocent citizens and spend more time considering why there needs to be exercises like this to begin with.

Just take a look at Texas to find one of the reasons.

Yeah, I went there.
