These people are everywhere. Fortunately, they're easily confused by logic and will back off at its wielding.

We have territories because of selfish and greedy leaders/conquerors. They pump us full of divisive rhetoric. A socialist government for the people would be much more help than the imaginary deities we're given as a consolation. However, the powerful tend to be a little sadistic. That leaves us peons to fend for ourselves. Our only solution is to stop bowing to the elite, drop out, and band together. If the thought of an afterlife takes the edge off of death for people, who am I to deny them their teddy bear? But please, don't depend on it to save us. We can only save each other.

Really? As a pretty hard leaning leftie, I don't think Obama is left enough. I mean, instead of going for socialized healthcare, he went for the health insurance mandate, which was totally a Republican thing, to make sure those insurance businesses do very well.

I was fooled hard the 1st time Obama ran. The 2nd time, there was no one else to vote for. I was really hoping we'd get a far left winger who knows diplomacy. Turns out, Obama just knows how to play the game. I don't think the current system will let a left winger into power. Also, prideful voters have been taught to hate utopia for generations.

Let them go nuts. I couldn't care less if he lectures Obama about his mistakes as president. What I was addressing was the obvious talking points and propaganda-induced comments in his statement.

Language is important and you can tell a lot about someone by paying attention to how they articulate their point. Let's look at some of the things that stood out to me in his letter:

God-fearing folks who make America the greatest nation the world has ever known

Invoking the name of god to insinuate that we are a great nation due to it's religiousness. A propaganda technique.

American exceptionalism and even American patriotism.

Ultra-nationalist phylosiphy to suggest that Americans are better than other people in the world. A very dangerous propaganda tactic. This is a technique used to make it's citizens feel better about themselves while we justify the horrible things we do across the globe.

increased food stamp participation and disability claims and introduced socialized medicine

Obamacare is socialized medicine? Well, either he is uneducated or has been subjected to the propaganda and lies from the Right wing political propaganda.

your criticism of anyone who disagrees with you is downright unmanly

Questions his manhood if he fights for what he believes in, but his beliefs do not match those of Daniel's.

Your apparent disregard for the maintenance and morale of our armed services is extremely unwise and dangerous

Complains that he is doing bad by our troops and that makes him weak. Another tactic.

a sign of weakness and will take advantage, Putin and China

Russia and China? This statement speaks for itself. Propaganda.

deal with Iran you spit in the face of Israel

Ultra-nationalism.

This statement speaks for itself. Propaganda.

His entire letter is tough to read and agree with when you are keen on techniques and tactics used by certain propaganda machines. Either he is a brainwashed fool that regurgitates ad nauseum, or he knows who his target audience is and is exploiting their lack of free-thought.

To talk like this or think like this is very dangerous. It indicates that the brain is on autopilot and there is very little chance of having a constructive conversation with such a person because the propaganda has already taken root.

GAWD! I could scarcely get through it. Talk about Drama Queen!

If you actually believe that, I have to question if you even know what a Left-leaning philosophy is. He didn't socialize anything. He hasn't given us free healthcare or housing. He's continued the same policies as the man before him.

I have to agree with you, if he was really that far left leaning he would be doing 100% more for the environment, really giving the EPA the teeth it needs to fight polluters and getting rid of the NSA and a whole slew of things. He's too moderate. He's too republican.
