I realize the source of this sensationalist article is less than reputable, but I was in awe of the brazenly violent message it offered.

Are you excited for the day when a benevolent global government rules over the Earth and all humans are united in pursuit of ambitious scientific and technological goals like exploring the depths of our solar system and staking claim over other planets?

My greatest concern if we were to contact extraterrestrial life, we will start a Space Age Manifest Destiny and once we take over the extraterrestrial planet, humans would enslave the inhabitants and form a new apartheid.

That seems to be this writer's expectation as well. I find it disturbing.

I can't help but wonder what that symbol may mean to an alien civilization.

Maybe that's the symbol they put on their restroom doors.

Maybe it's the alien equivalent of "Yo mama so fat she got her own Oort Cloud."

Maybe it's the logo of the galaxy's largest spacesuit manufacturer. Earth gets sued for copyright infringement.



I think we should go with a green dollar sign superimposed over various international corporate logos. Something that says who we really are.

I would have to be dead for this to happen because I am not joining some one-world government. They can stuff their 'flag' and their government. The US Government is bad enough. Now I have to be enslaved from Brussels instead of Washington? No thanks.

This will not be the flag of the future. For a flag to have any success it must be draw-able - even in approximation - by a child. You can do that with the Union Jack, or the tricolour and even the Stars and Stripes.

This flag is too complicate. The design is nice, but it won't work because it is not easily replicated. It won't have mass appeal.

Not planetary Symbol, unless it's resembling the earth's electric grid/energy Grid/ ley lines.
