For some reason I didn't think there was such a thing as "race" -- more like different phenotype's of humans. I thought "humankind" itself was a race ... "The human race"?
This is why I asked "what is racism"...
Did she say it in a sense that this is a perception of reality to her or because she felt superior to white people?
Or are both of those racist!

Judging on your past posts...
She's not wrong about you... not all whites are racist though and non-whites can be racist as well.

Perhaps you should explain to her that the very first slave owner in America was black...have her research Anthony Johnson...may be an eye opener for her.

The blame is to be laid on the greed of some. Skin "color" has not one damn thing to do with it, and history proves that....in all countries, around the world. Over...and over....and over again.

Slavery was more than keeping a servant. Black owning Black is seems as a class issue. Another "race" owning another like animal is different issue. Black person might break a black slave physically(he cant really mentally abuse him since he is the same skin colour). The other would do both mentally and physically, one would not heal and get passed on.
