Maryland authorities are looking into the possibility that five recent shootings in the state, including one reported shots fired incident near the NSA Tuesday, are related.

Late Tuesday evening, WBAL-TV in Baltimore reported shootings in Howard, Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties during the past week may be related.

Report of Shots Fired Near NSA Headquarters, Building Damaged

I had heard the earlier story but had not seen this news item until just now. There seem to be two related situations here. It seems to have not had a lot of news coverage as of yet.

The video was so brief it is hard to gauge the seriousness of this event. Police activity is high but information to the public with much real data of the event seems scarce to me. Has this been reported already and I just missed it or what?

Kinda like movie Captain America winter soldier

when Hail Hydra operatives in US government started fighting shooting with Good guys in US government.

in the movie good guys win

In reality good guys don't stand a chance

I wouldn't say the good guys won exactly, in the Marvel's Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. series it carries on from where the movie left off and they definitely haven't won - otherwise they wouldn't have to operate covertly with both HYDRA and the US Gov after them.

This is a real event documented in a news item. I am not sure how relevant it is for the thread to discuss how the event resembles a TV show?

All kidding aside. There is no off button that I am aware of. MI is on occasion offline mainly due to maintenance and upgrades. All search parameters remain plugged into search engines. MI live feed from the relevance algorithm updates continue, as well as real time feeds from satellites and from all reporting databases.

Note this article. www.militaryaerospace.com...

Item of note from the article:

Machine learning assumes that enabling computers to learn can be more effective than programming them explicitly -- especially in military applications such as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); natural language processing (NLP); predictive analytics; cyber; and various scientific disciplines.

The article is worth a look. Relevance algorithms rarely suggest information not of use in directive coded queries.

It now says at the OP's link that a suspect is in custody.

"A suspect believed to be responsible for separate shooting incidents on the Maryland Intercounty Connector and near the NSA at Fort Meade, as well as other locations in the DC-Baltimore area over the last two weeks, is in custody, FBI Public Affairs Specialist Amy J. Thoreson said in a statement early Wednesday. (Published Wednesday, Mar 4, 2015)"

The suspect vehicle is believed to be the one featured in this video,

That's a pretty shiny, nice looking car for someone to be driving around shooting from. Would suggest an older white male to me....likely late 40's early 50's....possibly with some sort of mental issue and anti-govt inclination.

Uhm...no it's not. I saw the update that an arrest had been made a little while ago.

Cnn, fox, nbc, local news affiliates, politico, usa today are all carrying news about it.

When I saw the date of the first shooting I was amazed at how little this incident was being reported in the MSM.

It says there somewhere that they were looking for a light skinned male of coloured origin, or something to that effect. Whether that is who has been detained, it doesn't say.
