Yes I do agree with you on this point...I would not go out there un-experienced. I had the privlage of going out there my first time with Chuck Clark...he taught me the boundaries....he taught me what i can and cant do. A normal person doesnt necessarily know these things and could find themselves getting a hefty fine if they arent careful.

By the way you stated they could, in theory, kill my ass while im out there. Okay so in theory couldnt those same people come to your house and put lead in your head?

I think that the point is that they are authorized by the government to use deadly force to protect that border. Obviously they didn't ahve a reason to, I mean, to what, prevent some photos of a truck and a sign from getting out? But if they didn shoot you, they'd just say that you were trying to break into a military base, they wouldn't need to cover it up.

With the new anti terrorism laws coming to fruit, you would most certainly be a "Suspect" and could have been held indefinitely, without being charged of anything, and without representation.
Technicaly...
Filming across the "border" is illegal. You don't have to physically cross it to be in violation.

any luck with the video??

Im dying to see this but unfortunatly i dont have any webspace or i would certainly host it for everyone. I guess www.yousendit.com wouldnt be practical in this case either due to the bandwidth limitations, the link would keep dying and the file would require multiple uploads. Anyone own an FTP?

Ok, the way I look at it is that if I was filming or photographing public land and a secret base accidentally got in my shot, that not my fault because I would be looking at a base that does not exist. Unless you really piss them off, I have never heard of them coming on public land to take you down unless you really mess with them. Personally, I am a strong beliver of the second ammendment and if a private security guard came onto public land and drew a weapon on me, I just might be inclined to draw down on them, boy would that be a situation. Now I'm not a stupid person, but public land is public land. -Muzz
