Can't say that I have a desire to, but yes, yes I could.
Just because I wear a suit and tie every day (well, every work day, and special occasions) doesn't mean I don't go hiking in the mountains/swimming in the oceans/hunting/fishing/bike riding/etc.

As I said, it all comes down to it being properly tailored.
I have many friends who complain about wearing suits to weddings and such, but they all just bought one off the rack at a department store and didn't have it tailored. When a suit fits well it can be amazingly comfortable.

I would like to think anyone who is "dancing up a storm" will take the jacket off (the main reason I wear 3 piece suits to functions I know I will be dancing at.)

If finery comes with comfort than kudos to you, and if you can dance in those suits, well I would be very impressed indeed.
Actually, what is your range of motion in such a suit?

I too ran that gambit, but now I just wanna have fun.
Me too. Retired.
I now only wear Levis, message T-shirts that make me laugh, and hoodies. Oh! And my MBTs.
I bought a sparkly Elvis T-shirt especially for Elvis impersonator concerts at Blue Mountain, Ontario.
