It's coming next week. Or next month. It'll protect 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation. Or 3 million. Or less.
There's still a lot of uncertainty about President Obama's upcoming immigration executive order, since Obama himself has yet to make a final decision on an action to fix the broken system.
But while details aren't yet locked down, there are a few things we know for certain: the move is coming before year's end, the fate of millions of immigrants are at stake, and Republicans are fuming.
5 questions you should be asking about Obama and immigration]
Morale among officers at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, already low, has reached a new bottom as illegal immigrants expecting amnesty from President Obama taunt and ridicule the overworked officers, according to a new report.
“Yes,” said one, “working for this agency is hell right now.”
That was the latest message to immigration policy critic Jessica M. Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies. She has charted the woes of the officers who carry out the president’s orders.

Well, something needs to be done and apparently we cannot get congress to do jack squat.
These people are here working, paying taxes and fitting in with the rest of us....so why not grant them amnesty? It's better that they continue to contribute than for us to foot the bill to send them back to wherever they came.

Except how many of them are? How many of them actually do have tax liability after every is all said and done, and how many of them actually take out more than they will ever put back in?
Most of them are low-skilled and poorly educated. I respect that they work hard, but they still need access to the social safety net in order to live here which makes them more of a drain in many cases than a boon.
And when you cannot wear or fly American flags in some places because it might incite violence, they clearly are not "fitting in" either
If they have a fake SS#, they do not file for a return because they would get caught.
Also, these people do spend the money they earn to live and take care of their families.....all of which have taxes attached.
Billions of dollars are sent back home to their own Country
Many are working and also claiming a one income household to gain benefits when they are above the poverty limit and NOT a one income household. Many claim dependents at the end of the year that don't even belong to them
If they were fitting in so well, we wouldn't be pressing one to hear our own language for important phone calls. There wouldn't be signs everywhere in Spanish. We wouldn't be required to speak THEIR language in order to get a job in some places.
They steal identities
Billions of dollars are sent out of the Country by illegals.
Our flag offending illegals IS NOT propaganda and IS worth addressing. What kind of a person comes to live in a Country where they are not respectful and grateful to be here?
This is America, isn't it? We are not a nation of only white, english speaking people. We have many different cultures and languages throughout this nation and that's they way it will always be.
When I get into conversations like this, I am reminded of the movie Gangs of New York and how the "natives" treated the Irish. If you haven't seen it, take the time. You may see a little "butcher" in you.[
I am part Irish
Are you saying we should spend all the time and money required to make sure we cater to every one of those different languages? Seriously
And which number combo on my phone pad do I hit to get to listen to English then?

I taught at a school that had over 40 different languages represented in it. Are you saying we should spend all the time and money required to make sure we cater to every one of those different languages? Seriously?

Also, many corporations serve more than just the US. Some of those non-Americans may not speak english.....therefore the need for a selection of different languages.
Ever thought of that?
