I'd prefer to have my public education sans religious indoctrination.

Anyone else remember when you had to go to private school to get preached at during math class?

Now I have to send my kid to private school to get AWAY from religious indoctrinations.

Some of you might want to actually look into what most modern-day Satanists believe. For them it has nothing to do with the Christian/Biblical figure of Satan.

Why would your religion be build around the guy that loses in the Bible? Why not pick a totally different religion. Just saying.

But satanists do not believe in the bible. Generally Satan represents the rebel, the one that stands against the arrogant god.

"Satan is a symbol, nothing more," LaVey
Satanists use the symbol of Satan as a representative of various philosophical ideas,
Satan is rebellion, intelligence, anti-religion, anti-god.

en.wikipedia.org...

dont sound any worse than the mainstream religions.

Its core beliefs and philosophies are based on individualism, epicureanism, secularism, egoism, and self-deification, and propagates a worldview of naturalism, Social Darwinism, and Lex Talionis

Contrary to popular belief, LaVeyan Satanism does not involve "devil worship" or worship of any deities. It is an atheistic philosophy that uses the character of Satan as a symbol of pride, carnality, liberty, enlightenment, undefiled wisdom, and of a cosmos which Satanists perceive to be permeated and motivated by a force that has been given many names by humans over the course of time

^^^^i can dig that....dont seem so bad.

it loses me when it gets into magic and rituals and all that jazz.

seems like they have a pretty good 'you dont mess with me, i dont mess with you" deal happening....

Should he have been recognized by the Jews themselves as their prophet, he would definitively have had a point.

To each their own. Not for school though.

This just looks like attention seeking to me.

I'd highly doubt Bibles are being handed out in public schools

It is attention seeking. I do however recall recent legislation involving the legality of whether or not public schools can house after hours bible studies. I think it passed. I wouldn't put it past a certain segment of society to try and hand out bibles in school in some areas. I never even read a single passage in public school I can vouch for that much.

What is going on IMO is the increasing radicalization of the general public. This is what happens when you apply too much stress to the bottom classes. History repeating itself. My personal assessment of the narrative.

On Halloween night you kind of expect stuff like this. As if our country isn't in dire enough straits. By the way, do you know when all these school shootings started cropping up? It was about a generation after God was taken out of schools, the pledge of allegiance doesn't include God any more, evolution is taught, and God is pretty much banned from school. Now we want to introduce Satan, or Baphomet, with a coloring book. Way to go....just watch our country go straight to hell from here. Whenever you wonder why calamity after calamity is falling, it is our own fault. A coloring book about Satan...give me a break.

So why weren't there any school shootings BEFORE God was added to the Pledge?

Is it because you're wrong?

Methinks so.

The idea of schools renting out rooms for groups to use I've never seen as an issue. It's up the group what they do in a rented facility as long as it's legal.

Handing them out to the student body I'd have to doubt is happening anywhere, other than a private school.

You do make a good point about the radicalization of the public and its cause. Interesting comment.

Nobody says you'll agree with me. Some will see and have seen and agree though. If you're over half a century old you have more of a likelihood of seeing the big picture.

God, Jesus and Satan are all part of the same make-believe fairy tale.

"This myth called Christ has served us well".
