I have one. I mean actually in person, not through a telescope. :-)

Ahhh lovely pics!

The first one you posted has always been my favorite.

I wish I lived where I could go outside and star gaze. I can see some but nothing like I would in the middle of nowhere without light pollution. I would be so soothed by looking at the sky.

This may sound weird but as a kid I looked out my bedroom window and thought I wanted to go home when I looked out there. I use to ask my mom to go home and she would look at me like I was nuts because I was at home. Idk I just feel this connection with space and the other stars, planets and galaxies. I love watching the moon and just starting at the night sky. I don't get much of a chance where I live now too many lights.

Thanks for sharing these! Always nice to see space pics.

These are gorgeous pictures! I love all of them but my favorite is The Hourglass Nebula. It looks like an eye in the middle and it's so intriguing!

Thank you for sharing these!

Sure absolutely..alot of these are newer photos as well which is great...its one thing to see a photo of saturn from 3 decades ago but totally different when you know what your seeing is near real time (give or take a few yrs) LOL

That first pic looks like Moe from the Simpsons.

I like pics of deep space objects they're cool.

Wierdguy,

I do see the resemblance. Good old Moe Szyslak! Love that show!

Absolutely gorgeous pictures! Some old ones but a lot of new ones I have never seen. Nothing in the world captures my imagination like these types of pictures. Thanks a lot for posting these, I love to get them for wall papers and screen savers.

I'm going to have to paint the NG 56-SOMETHING nebula as a background to a ship. One can almost weep at such beauty.

Isnt it awesome that these are actual physical structures essentially floating in our (far away) skies? Incredible!

Thank you for the reminder.

I have all the Hubble wallpapers downloaded onto my computer and set as my wallpapers changing every few hours, sometimes they make you stop what you're doing and be in awe of the scale of the universe.

Makes one wonder how tiny and insignificant our 100 year lifespans really are.

I do think we are infinite beings, as I believe the cosmos has no beginning or end.

The universe truly is a beautiful space. Goodness!!

The Hourglass Nebula really looks like an hourglass with a creepy eye in the center, bizarre.

There really is an abundance of eyes in outer space.

You are welcome..
I think this is mans final frontier, and its important for everyone to see these far reaching photos, even if they aren't into astronomy...We are after all a small blue marble floating in space on the arm of a spiral galaxy, heading towards the unknown...the whole galaxy is moving thru space folks, and us along with it...

Oh wow, thanks for posting these old pictures that have been posted around a million times on ATS
I will be looking forward for tomorrow where they surely will be posted again

Are you for real? Not everyone views this website daily/weekly.. still, if seeing the universe on more than one occasion is too much for you, then... well, that's too bad
