Several dozen women gathered outside a military base in central Russia on Thursday to demand that commanders come clean about the whereabouts of their husbands after reports of secret funerals for soldiers covertly sent to Ukraine.
The women -- mostly in their 20s, a few with small children -- huddled outside a base that houses paratroopers in Kostroma, around 300 kilometres (200 miles) north of Moscow
Some 350 soldiers from the city were this month sent on military drills to the border with Ukraine and then went incommunicado, said one of the women, 26-year-old Valeria Sokolova.
Commanders from the base have told her several have returned dead, she said, and around 15 wounded soldiers were also flown back this week.
military commanders refused to confirm that their loved ones had been sent to Ukraine, Sokolova said. They were told they could not hold a formal demonstration and should go home.
Olga Garina, the mother of one of several Kostroma paratroopers captured by Ukrainian forces, is one of the lucky few to have gotten some answers.
After days of silence and heartache after he went off the radar, her 20-year-old son Yegor Pochtoyev called her mobile phone suddenly from Kiev, where he is being held by authorities.
She happened to receive the call while sat with a group of journalists including AFP in the office of a local rights group that campaigns against abuses in the armed forces.

Not taking sides but this is still not proof.
Very easy to plant a picture, story and use as propaganda.

For the love of God!...One of the women there was the Mother of one of the captured Russian soldiers in Ukraine...who Putin has now acknowledged...Identified publicly. And she got the call from her son while surrounded by MULTIPLE press outlets...
at some point you need to acknowledge the earth is not flat.
No...it is not MSM propaganda...Research if you need to.
Then tell these women that they haven't lost there loved ones without any answers and put themselves at risk speaking out that they are just actresses!

Prove it.
See, Putin is playing the game we (U.S.) have been playing, it's all "proxy wars" these days. If we're going to call out Putin for it, we would have to be absolute hypocrites to not include Obama/U.S/EU, much less pretend that they weren't involved in Ukraine to begin with (much like Libya, Egypt, Syria, etc, etc, etc..)
Until then, I'm ignoring all of this "Russians in Ukraine" talk.

So, how can you know they are NOT actresses? The West has used this tactic countless times to start wars.
The massive failure in that thinking is the premise that Pres. Obama and the USA isn't called out every day on their missteps???
Certainly on ATS on a daily basis???
And yet...if it is Putin and Russia...you grant them freedom to lie??
We should, but it's impossible to separate the BS from the truth. There's so much of this BS being thrown around on both sides, I'm not going to take the word of any MSM outlet. It's not like we haven't seen all of them lie in the past.
Should we not call it where we see it?
And the magnitude of the lie Putin is telling (now to soldiers widows) is on a whole different order.
In the context above, your eagerness to blind yourself seems dishonest...desperately scrambling for some justification to proudly remain blind and ignorant to Putins lies.

Not missteps. Blatant lies, deceit. The U.S., sadly, is just as guilty as Putin if not more.

It's no worse than what the CIA has been doing in the middle east for the past 10 years or current ops in Ukraine, to be honest. I'm not saying Putin should get a free pass, but it's hard to call someone else out when we're guilty of the same damn things.
You just did..right there above..call the USA out....nothing "hard" about it. Your refusal to offer the same scrutiny to Russia tells me everything I need to know.

Washington Piles Lie Upon Lie
By Paul Craig Roberts
August 29, 2014 "ICH" - The latest Washington lie, this one coming from NATO, is that Russia has invaded Ukraine with 1,000 troops and self-propelled artillery.
How do we know that this is a lie? Is it because we have heard nothing but lies about Russia from NATO, from US ambassador to the UN Samantha Power, from assistant secretary of state Victoria Nuland, from Obama and his entire regime of pathological liars, and from the British, German, and French governments along with the BBC and the entirety of the Western media?
This, of course, is a good reason for knowing that the latest Western propaganda is a lie. Those who are pathological liars don’t suddenly start telling the truth.
But there are even better reasons for understanding that Russia has not invaded Ukraine with 1,000 troops.
One reason is that Putin has invested heavily in diplomacy backed by unprovocative behavior. He would not risk his bet on diplomacy by sending in troops too few in number to have a decisive effect on the outcome.
Another reason is that if Putin decides he has no alternative to sending the Russian military to protect the Russian residents in eastern and southern Ukraine, Putin will send in enough troops to do the job quickly as he did in Georgia when the American and Israeli trained Georgian army invaded South Ossetia and was destroyed in a few hours by the Russian response. If you hear that 100,000 Russian troops accompanied by air cover have invaded Ukraine, it would be a more believable claim.
A third reason is that the Russian military does not need to send troops into Ukraine in order to stop the bombing and artillery shelling of the Russian populations by Washington’s puppet government in Kiev. The Russian air force can easily and quickly destroy the Ukrainian air force and artillery and, thereby, stop the Ukrainian attack on the secessionist provinces.
Regional Non-Government Human Rights Organization “Soldiers’ Mothers of St. Petersburg” $94,160* To conduct its Human Rights School, as well as other workshops, for thousands of draft-age youth and conscripts. The organization will also continue to maintain a database on draftees and servicemen in order to track cases of human rights abuse at military bases across Russia.

"No offense, but if you aren't engaging in either research or logic, then you have no business calling anything false. "
I never called anything false, just that we need more proof so must question more..
