This is the conclusion that I've come to as well.

I think the government needs to be redone from the ground up. No more dual citizens in the US gov.. That needs to be stopped immediately. There are loads of Israelis who are in important positions of power in our government. It's a scary thought and would shed light on why the US has been turned into a war monger.

All taxpayer money needs to be monitored. Every last penny of it. The people should be able to vote on what they want done with the money. We also close off known loopholes in the law. The Federal Reserve needs to be disbanded and all those criminals should be arrested. Wall Street should be cleaned out as well. No more greedy speculators -keeping inflation high, such as gas and food prices. Many of them should be arrested for human suffering and crimes against humanity and for being traitors.

Many laws need to be changed. People should vote on what we want to keep and what we want to modify. We the people should be in control. Not they the crooks. All politicians should be held to a standard and if they aren't doing their job then they get sent packing. It's time for the people to watch the gov very closely and hold people accountable. There shouldn't be no more wars for Israel. There shouldn't be no more training terrorists and arming them. Revolution, we need.

What if you're right, but if the revolution should be many, many small acts of non-compliance?

by saying yeah let me know when you fire that first shot "gramps"

You are basically admitting to being too squeamish to stand up for your country. Basically you are saying I am not a patriot enough.

nice values there

It wouldn't work, it wouldn't have momentum, people would be starved on purpose by the government

It needs to be quick and decisive

It's very hard for me to see how a revolution would bring about any positive societal change at this point in time, was founding of our republic not the true revolution against most forms of tyranny?

The first nation founded upon the principles of individualism and liberty, the loss of which was caused by many things.

Revolution seems to me to be nothing more than a way to abdicate ourselves of our civic duties. It will also most likely take our current problems and present us with new forms of oppression.

Civil disobedience combined with diligence torwards the principles of our constitution, and teaching our young the values of liberty are the better way I think.

All in all, do you trust the voting public to completely build a new American system from scratch?

You are right of course.

USA is so broken, it simply can not be fixed willy nilly, this would have to be top to bottom replacement of all.

I don't know maybe it is just me but I don't feel like I live in a dictatorship.

I don't make very much money but still own a house, eat well, go out with friends, go on vacation and generally enjoy life.

I don't fear for my safety everytime I walk out the door. I don't feel unsafe when I go to sleep at night.

I truly feel blessed to live in America.

That being said there are absolutely things I want to see changed within our country and government. Laws, taxes, corruption.

I just get upset when I hear people compare living in America to Nazi Germany. I think that is extremely insulting to those who had to experience it.

Incorrect what I am trying to convey is that you are full of it and this is just arm-chair-bsing.

But please continue with all due respect.

Ok fine,

you want to wait for things to get so bad, that people will be forced into revolution by sheer desperation.

Casualties will triple, but ok fine, if you want to do it the hard way, it shall be done.

It is not a matter of IF

WHEN and HOW and HOW MANY DEAD it will take.

The future is set.

I don't see you starting a thread, I bet you like US government too much to start a thread like this.

Apologies if I am wrong.

Americans are too apathetic and preoccupied to engaging in a revolt. They can't even be bothered to vote most of the time.

You probably have apathy.

You are fine, and so who really cares what's going on and what the future will bring.

Apologies if I am wrong.

The Future is World War 3 brought to you by US government.

Hey gramps let me know when you are going to start your revolution and where so I can watch from my t.v.

If you think that the government is so evil then I blame your generation for letting it get this bad.

Maybe start a blue hair revolution, I'm sure you can get one done before the 4 o'clock early bird dinner at the country buffet.

I am not a betting man, I don't go to Casinos

But I would bet that if I look through your posting history, I would find plenty of examples of your viewpoints agreeing with US government view points.

Tens of millions of people are talking the same way. Take a look around. A little fire leads to a blazing inferno. People are tired of what the US gov has become, how it acts and what they do. We can continue no further on this path. Change is inevitable.

And I don't understand the insults calling this guy "gramps". Isn't this a violation, mods?

It's all BS if my 2 cents matter.
I'm not oppressed, the police haven't kicked my door down and tortured me and I don't have family members that mysteriously disappeared over their political views.

People will always need a reason to feel that the grass is always greener, but really, none of us can truly complain. Even if there was a "revolution" - all I'd want to see is my tax dollars being put to better use (public transportation doesn't need to smell like urine, food stamps shouldn't be used for beer and cigarettes, pave my streets - I hate 'em, etc).

IIRC, the last time someone tried to stick it to the man, it ended up being a large hipster bbq party that was mislead, had no purpose and was quickly laughed at.

No, I want to fix our nation as it is our responsibility to do so.

With the current politcal and social dynamic of our nation being what it is, wherein you have many groups that wouldn't blink an eye at wiping out the others if they could get away with it, revolution would only lead to a new dark age for our nation.

Do you really wish to allow the group with the most firepower to take rule over all others with an iron fist?

After all, many people wish for the direct opposite politically right now, and share very little in common in thier vision of our future, good luck uniting them.

Edit: To clarify, outright revolution is impossible in our nation as it stands, it would be a civil war, and probably the bloodiest in history.
