Parallel thought processes, you're not telepathic are you?

Oddly enough, I have scared the crap out of people at times because I can tell what they are thinking or what their reaction would be in certain situations.

It's not telepathy. It's common sense and intuition.

let's see if they will be so stupid to do anything to endanger that what Putin has sent.

Let's see if Putin is stupid enough to send military troops in with that which he sent.

From Kyiv Post:

DONETSK, Ukraine – Ukraine and the International Committee of the Red Cross will lead a humanitarian convoy supported by the European Union, the United States and Russia to the country's conflict-torn eastern city of Luhansk, according to Ukraine's Foreign Ministry.

"Due to the complex humanitarian and social situation in the Donbas, Ukraine President Poroshenko took the initiative to send to Luhansk Oblast international humanitarian aid missions," the ministry said in an official statement on Aug. 11. "In addition to goods, prepared by the Ukrainian side, the mission will also include an international component and, in particular, humanitarian assistance provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United States, the EU and Russia."

"Logistical support of the international humanitarian relief mission, including its delivery and distribution, will be provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross and Ukraine," the Ministry added.

Laurent Corbaz, the ICRC's head of operations for Europe and Central Asia, said in a statement it is "urgent that aid reaches people in Luhansk and in other areas in the eastern part of the country, which have sustained heavy fighting over the past weeks."

The ICRC said it met with the Ukrainian and the Russian authorities and shared a document which specifies the manner in which such an operation can be carried out.

A senior official in Ukraine's presidential administration told the Kyiv Post that "Russia will have a formal part in the convoy, but there will be no Russian [military] forces, no soldiers."

Moreover, the ICRC added that it "does not accept armed escorts" as part of the relief mission.

Ukraine had previously objected to Russian involvement in relief efforts, fearing that a humanitarian mission could be used as a cover for an invasion of Russian soldiers.

Here's hoping the civilians caught in the crossfire receive much needed aid..

You're probably right. Surely they would attempt to conceal something like that.

I happen to think that Putin is on a personal mission to gain our trust, so if he says the mission is going to be strictly humanitarian then that's all it will be. Spotting that thing has me questioning my judgment now.

I was thinking radar as well, but why would Putin be sending a radar system on a humanitarian mission?

Could be a mobile ATC? Prevent more civilian plans from being shot down?

Or maybe it's just parked there and not going.

White trucks are........white trucks. We don't know what is in them either. Could be food, water, blankets, medical supplies.
Or it could just as easily be weapons, ammon, bombs.....

The only ones that know is those that loaded the trucks. Guess we'll find out when they get there.

The people of Eastern Ukraine should be allowed a vote on independence and whether they wish being a separate state to Ukraine, either self governing or part of Russia.

And what about all the areas in Russia that want independence, do you support Russia letting them all form their own countries?

Swell a truckload of Kornets would be a help no doubts....
Whos gonna monitor the ratio of food to machine gun ammo anybody......

If KGB/FSB/GRU and others cannot find a way to smuggle in at 1 truckload of portable weapons DAILY to a neighboring country where similar language and culture exist, state of chaos is present plus pro-Russia crowd is easily available.................then I would consider them to be D- grade at best.

Btw, no biggie that Putin is sending a convoy with no military vehicles or soldiers. Even a granny on a border village can have neighbors load up a lorry full of farm vegetables and send in as aid across the border.

No it's a simple yes or no answer. The fact you don't want to answer suggests you are being a hypocrite.

Though only vaguely relevant to the topic I'll go ahead and answer from my point of view.

Yes, any viable self governable areas whether in Russian, Ukraine or the Americas should be able to disengage from a central government that is not working or representing their interest. Anywhere for that matter.

At least that's my perspective at this time. I would need to really focus on all the issues by country both pro and con which could change that point of view.

It isn't a yes or no answer.

This thread isn't about that so keep to the topic.

It was only a matter of time before it became a Russian hating thread.

I don't fall for goading.

Thank you for proving my point. Someone else answered my question, no Russian hatred as well. You are just a hypocrite. I am hypocrite hating, I admit it.

I personally think, that Putin & Friends are up to something.
But i sincerely hope this all doesn't escalate into a full-scale war

He wouldn't care if he wasn't. I bet he was trying to sneak soldiers and weapons in. He was caught, so now he needs to follow through with the cover story.

France minister: Russian humanitarian convoy might be cover

The this morning departed humanitarian convoy from Russia to Ukraine might be a Russian cover to get troops in the area.

That`s the fear of the French minister of Foreign affairs Laurant Fabius. In an interview with a French radio station he said he feared that the Russians are trying to set the West up with an accomplished fact. We have to be very careful. This could be a cover to install troops at Lugansk and Donetsk.

The Minister attaches a lot of importance to the judgment of the International Red Cross, it needs to approve the convoy. If that doesn`t happen, the 280 trucks aren`t "justified," Fabius said.

They should also need to be approved by an international team at the border and again before entering the area.

Weapons or no weapons, either way it could be dodgy if they get attacked.

No reason for anyone to attack them unless it's a false flag by Russia. Ukraine and the West would not attack if allowed to inspect.
