Did I use NWO. NO!

I said World Government. One is the natural progression of things, the other is conspiracy rooted.

North America used to be protected partly because if it's geographical location. Wars were fought in Europe/Asia, etc. 911 should have been a wake up call that are geographical location no longer protects us. New progressive thinking is required. It's past the time of "putting more locks on the doors".

But, what do most people do when they get scared? They revert to their safe place, something from their past that feels secure --- even though in reality it isn't anymore.

I have an open mind to progression because the goalposts have been moved.

The problem with any type government is One Does Not Fit All. The US is partly socialist, even if some try to deny it.

For Socialism to work in the US, it would need to be a progressive "step like" system. In other words, there needs to be ways for the ambitious take control people to be rewarded for their efforts. There will always be Doers, Loafers, and everyone in between. I personally do not support any cash handouts. THAT WHICH IS NOT EARNED HAS NO VALUE.

Back on to topic. It is unfortunate that religion is a form of mind control that is easily taken advantage of by those who crave power and control.

How do you get individuals to have and keep their spiritual beliefs to themselves so they are not prey to those who will manipulate them for power over the masses?

Annee, I'm so glad that you chose to join the thread. My thinking is precisely like yours.
As I said earlier - there already IS a "new" for the world. It is globalism.

While I would consider an isolationist reversal a good thing, the US withdrawing from policing the entire globe, I doubt that is going to happen. Too many other countries would protest.

But one has only to look at what's happening in Israel TODAY - (not "these days" - TODAY, 12 July 2014), and Iraq and Syria, to see that we are all inextricably bound together in this. And religion, like the Tea Party, is - as you rightly say - looking backward. I can appreciate their dedication, but I can't see it working unless the U.S. break apart from one another.
Which also wouldn't bother me much.

The world will have to strive for a world government one day, down the line If we are to truly reach out and expand we have to be all governed and treated the same way.
I do fear the world is a chess board and players are trying to be that government but us lot we the people can make sure we get the right people in charge but I do think it will need a global catastrophe to bring us all together on the same page.
