Probably because Wednesday afternoon is Southpark afternoon on Comedy Central, and I do watch the marathons when I can.

Ack. I liked your post - but I couldn't remember what it was earworming me.

Just now, the Ice Cream Truck rolled by - playing the stupid retro-electronic tune - it WAS NOT "A bicycle built for Two"! Thank god and all pantheons derived from such

"Bicycle" was the one that he'd been playing incessantly for a WEEK!! Argh!! My Ears!!!

But, nono -
today, the retro-electronic stupid Ice Cream truck is playing "Do Your Ears Hang Low?"!!

Oh god.

I really have to wonder if those guys don't wear ear-buds and have Lynyrd Skynyrd playing so loud they can't hear the sirens...

Hubby and I both noticed it!! I said, "finally! he changed his tune!"
and he responded with: "I wonder if someone went up to him and said 'Mister - You'd better Change Your Tune!'"

Ugh - I was ready to do that myself.
I'll try cheesy poofs now. Again.
Thanks for the distraction.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

The 'Getting Gay with Kids' anti-rainforest song has been in my head since wednesday when I saw the episode. I was going to link it in but I'm not sure if people would appreciate it. So ... the anti-rainforest song from Southpark.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

OH WOW COOL!!!

My husband just put this one on; we went to the concert last year (not in Paris, though):

I sat there just now after he started the vid, not recognizing it through the whole "riff" before the song started on his laptop - and then I was On My Feet...... "Lovin' you....is it the right thing to do...??"

for the concert, we were sitting at the very BACK row of the first balcony....
I danced through the entire thing.....

FLEETWOOD MAC ROCKS!!!!!

Peace, everybody.....

Heard this one on an encore airing of Prairie Home Companion -

there have been many singers who do it, so I perused youtube, and present you with this version:

Hallelujah - the song from "Shrek" - but first it came from The Canadian Tenors.

Creed. With Arms Wide Open
I like the symphony version the best, but this one has a fabulous slideshow to go with it.

A few days ago I started to learn a classical tune on the guitar. The problem is that i find myself listening to that tune all day between my ears... I have not encountered this phenomenon before .. maybe it is the magic of the tune that cause this.

Yes....music is one of the most potent of our intelligences.
The songs/pieces that resonate with us are VERY important, and they do stick with us.

No worries - I'm sure you'll do very well at your musical endeavors.

Well done, you!!

Just got done watching this movie - although I'd seen the video a few years ago....

which is why I pulled up the movie.....

WARNING: The movie is VERY violent and has adult themes and sexual depictions....(no nudity, though).

But, this vid is awesome.

Here's a link to the movie, free on youtube....just in case anyone wants to watch it.

Wow, Dr Hook!

Have not heard any Dr Hook in a long time!
Now that will be stuck in my head!

I came to drop this one off in the hopes that it would go away
(although not at all a bad tune) as it has been repeating in my head since yesterday when I listened to it.
I see from the Dr Hook, that I am not disappointed as now the Enya is gone, and Dr Hook is playing between my ears..
And I have not even listened to that video yet!
Maybe I should just walk away without clicking on play.

Oh wow. Yeah, Enya.
Thanks for the swap....

Here's one of my absolute and most favorite Enya bits. Featured in the movie "Far and Away."

Book Of Days.

Far and Away was the very FIRST movie video that I bought....20 years ago.
*wanders off to cue up the film* "Thanks"
