well with all my rhetoric that we...America...are becoming more like Soviet Russia with each passing day and our Alphabet agencies resemble the KGB more and more. I really do think that we are a long way from there yet and the US is still a better country than Russia when it comes to freedoms and opportunities. I think moving to Russia is not a good move. Getting rid of our Republican and Democratic overlords and holding our corporations accountable are the first steps. not running away.

You guys can laugh at this if you like ... but a seed has been planted here, and I called it in an earlier posting.

Yeah ... it's a joke ... for now. Don't forget this is ATS!!

As far as that goes, the Florida Keys are also in a perpetual state of secession from something, too.

Evening,

Don't disparage the military might of Canada.
A canonball can really ruin your day if it hits you...

Ohhh, I can't wait to see the WH response to this gem *chuckle*

Alaska has oil. Even if they wanted to break away as it's own country, it'll never happen. Because it has oil. Any sense of it being American has zilch to do with it, this country has a death grip on it's domestic commodity sources. And we don't let them go if we can help it.

Pretty please, can we? We'd be able to bar the New Englanders and their weird aversion to the letter "R".

To be serious, the breakaway Conch Republic idea is still there, just not with much hope. It's more of a local culture joke thing now than anything.

I've known idiots who thought Alaska was down the entire coastline, because Juneau is tucked away up there somewhere, so it must be AK all the way down to Washington state. And because British Columbia is a myth, I guess.

Hey, if we actually taught things like geography in school instead of social engineering ... you never know what might happen. I know, that's crazy talk!
