The Last Election???

So i just ran across something weird guys.

Not sure if its in the right forum or not, but i just stumbled across it. All it is, is a countdown for 8 days and 16 minutes from now. So what is 8 days from now? With a backdrop of the american eagle insignia

I did a quick search on ATS but didnt find anything related. Thoughts?

Just ran through the source code, not much there other than some google analytics code, some css and stuff.

The last time I saw a similar site posted on ATS, with a countdown bar. IIRC, it turned out to be an internet marketing promo for a coming movie.

It got a lot of interest, guessing, and people sharing it.....let's see if this turns out to be promo for a new movie or game.

Google the URL, you'll see 4chan and a lot of similar sites are already attempting to decode it. That's what makes it go viral.

I'm going to go with marketing ploy...

Ah yes i remember that one, with all the cloaked dudes. Turned out to be some sports thing.
I just found this, wonder how long its been circulating. 8 days is not a long time for some sort of mass thing. The title (that you cant see) says "The last election - The future will be revealed"

In doing a search, I did find on yootoob, and trailer for a move by the title of The Last Election. A government supernatural thriller...



Haven't a clue if it has anything to do with the site of the same name...

That's a trailer for a novel that was published in 2011. It's posted to youtube by the author of the book. So it doesn't seem to me like that would be related to this countdown.

I hate these mysterious countdowns, they drive me crazy!

Nope. March 21 is the Vernal (or 'Spring' in the Northern Hemisphere) EQUINOX, one of two each year (the other one is in September). The two solstices are in June (Northern Hemisphere summer), and December (Southern Hemisphere summer -(Northern Hemisphere winter)).

The image on the website has a hidden message when you play with the lightness of the image, it says:

"NEETFIF RAM - .GNINRAW ON HTW TIH LLIW TI .YDOBYREVE TRELA OT DIAS I EMOH TA KCAB ENOYREVE LLET" which reads backward "Tell everyone back at home i said to alert everybody. It will hit with no Warning. - Mar Fifteen."

Use paint.net, click on the "Adjustments" tab, click the Hue / Saturation option and it'll have a little slider in there called "lightness", not to be confused with brightness.
