They look like Ukrain Mi-24's they look different from Russian Mi-24's due to light colored bands on the tail section.

But of course, Russia has nothing to do with this...

Does anyone know what is the status of Poltava and Kirovograd. Meaning which side they are leaning on.

Control of highway M22 and M13 is crucial for Russians to go all the way to Moldova's Russian speaking patch of Transnistria. Atleast this would make the move smoother.

Uks leadership better fall back the fortify Kiev sector. No use fighting in the hostile territory where locals cannot be trusted.

'Government' in Kiev is sending newly formed National Guard to fight people in South and East, as police is siding with people and army is not willing to intervene.
It is turning into complete disaster for Kiev.

If I was one of them, I would first secure western provinces of Ukraine before any active body movements. This way they would at least have a place to hide or something. I feel sorry actually for them.
Puppets don't get that the orders they must carry out are the result of computer probability calculations. The west 'think tanks' are not think tanks any more, all is delegated to a war game computer program and trusted blindly coz no one there is capable to figure out simple outcome by using actual human brain.

No worries, Russia will take east and south regions just like it took Crimea. No combat needed. Other than Right Sector and Svoboda bums the rest of the Ukraine knows which hand has fed them for last 25 years and one that will help them in the future. Russia has given good $200B or more of subsidies and financial aid to Ukraine and in the end they want to join the hostile parties and point missiles.

All this US/EU etc. are there only to create civil wars and chaos and then leave the country to fend for itself. If it is oil rich like Libya then it will scrape by. If not, like Egypt then it will get more into the hole and be taken over by fascist and fanatic groups like Al Queda sponsored Muslim Brotherhood and others of the same offshoot.

Russia needs not south east. Listen to Lavrov. These regions need independence on the base of federation.
