so dont register your weapons, and buy some more now....illegally from criminals. That is what they want, or rather what options they have left you with.

Every person celebrating these actions by the government of california....know this:

You have made a VERY PROFITABLE market for arms trade in your home. You have attracted every scumbag arms dealer to your home and given former law abiding citizens reason to keep these people in business.

Screw your law. It is illegal law....and as such deserves to be ignored and resisted.

YOU WILL NEVER DISARM THE US. EVER.

You will only make yourselves appear as traitors and radicals and as such your actions will only gain enemies for you in every corner you can think of. What right do you have to dictate how others can live....?

Fascists......

no need to worry indeed. What happened to the UK is what they want to do to us here in the US. We could all be taken like Mr Luty one day with no word given...and then conveniently die of cancer.

ahh, just a few years ago one would be burned at the stake on ATS for claiming that forceful gun confiscation was coming. hell, just a few months ago people still denied it. i'll wager people will even deny it in this thread.

When Obama was voted in, about a year later he was being treated as a socialist by conspiracy theorists. Later, he was accepted as a socialist by liberals because socialism is "correct" according to them as long as it's Obama. These days, it's a big mix and people are no longer sure what to call him because he's a little bit of everything. Meanwhile, a lot of Dems are moving libertarian or are seeking for an actual Democrat as they are no longer in support of Obama's radical resolves.

I'd say this country has seen a lot of crazy things in the past 7 or 8 years and the general consensus has trust issues. It comes at no surprise that disinfo is now legal, and conspiracy theories are practically a crime now. Tyranny, tyranny, tyranny. Now watch as people will be willingly giving up their guns and then secretly arming themselves without the government knowing. But then again, they might be too afraid that they would come back to search the house.

The US has been able to afford a standing army for quite a while now. It's well past time for the 2nd amendment to be repealed.

If I were a gun owner in Cali right now I would make sure I went out, found a quiet location and buried them for later use.

There is no way in hell that I would give over my property just because some ass in office said I had to. And that property would not only be a gun. Any property of mine is just that...mine.

If you willingly hand over your guns, property, freedoms, rights etc... what comes next to your family and Country can only be blamed on you. And IT IS coming

Peace

If you decide to bury it for later use, you are condoning to their act of confiscating the guns, except you are just finding your own way out of it.

If you truly believe "any property of yours is yours", then why are you hiding your property? Only people with stolen property need to hide their goods. Wuss

If you truly believe in your right to own your own property, stand up for it instead of "burying it for later use".

Well said. Most gun owners not only have pistols, but hold out weapons such as a shotgun and a high powered scoped rifle. Not only that there is enough 22's and ammo to kill anything.

I think they were also the first state to ban lead ammo. NY, California, Illinois make it tough to legally carry as well. Buying a gun isnt that difficult though. Then add all kinds of stipulations as to whom can continue to own and whom must surrender their weapons. Its more than a slippery slope. Its treachery!

I guess buying black market might be the only way to have any firearm in those states.

NY was saying that gun registratrion would not lead to confiscation. I wonder for how long though!

You may not have to register a gun in the state of missouri but you ARE required to have proof of ownership and date of sale/purchases associated with your guns.. and if by chance you purchase a gun that has been previously used in a crime your gun will be confiscated and any monies you spent on the purchase will not be refunded.

Umm.. No, you absolutely do not need to have ownership papers with a firearm in Missouri by state law. I'm not guessing or making an assumption here. In the last couple years I've discharged my Fathers estate here and that included about two dozen firearms. That was by supervision of the court, so I couldn't have played games if I'd wanted to.

Getting ID from the buyer is strictly optional. GIVING ID to the seller is strictly at the discretion of the seller in a private sale and Missouri disposed of it's firearm registration system through the local Sheriff's Department around the same time NICS went to instant-go/no go approval over the phone and No-waiting for sales of firearms.

Thanks for the info on the Missouri CCW. I carry a permit and have written quite a bit about it on threads here in the past, including the full state CCW handbook around here somewhere. It's in PDF form so it makes an easy post.

CCW DOES renew every 5 years...but what would you have it? Life? I'm glad it's that long (which just started this year when I renewed for the longer period) but I wouldn't want it longer. They do need to do a check on background occasionally and someone like, say, a trucker could absolutely have something disqualifying happen in another state which doesn't necessarily get pushed for updates into Missouri.

Renewing was $50 for me and it was just 10 minutes at a desk in the Sheriff's Office. Nothing more.... Classes and range testing was a one shot deal, unlike, say, California where it's an ongoing and never ending pain in the butt to maintain CCW which gets licensed to specific guns as I understood it. Freedom exists.

It pains me to say it, but I saw this coming a LONG, long time ago.

These types of things are not going to stop on their own, they're going to need some "help".

I wonder what all of those tough talking "oath keepers" are waiting for. Gun confiscation? Drones over our heads? Stop and frisks? Taxed to death? Big Brother stealing our emails? 15 trillion national debt?

I see countries around the world taking to the streets and telling their tyrannical governments to f right off. And here in the "home of the brave" it's just a bunch of tough talking "oath keepers" that are heard but never seen.

Pansies

Welcome to America's new "normal".

*sarcasm*
The vast majority of people are not going to stand up and stop the government, their iPads and cell phones might get broken, but chin up! They'll post videos of the tyranny on youtube for all to see! */sarcasm*

Not sure of the facts, but from that picture - only saw one Cali legal gun. They may have been purchased legally in another state...

That guy is an idiot - he should have checked what is legal in his state...

Bet he had fotos of his arsenal on FB...only dumbasses do that.

Saw it coming? They do this everyday in Cali. Don't bring non CA legal guns into CA.

California is not a gun friendly state.

We'll always have people that won't believe that they'll try and take away our firearms, and I'll never understand their thinking. It's like trying to understand how Justin Bieber has fans, I don't get it but I don't think I'd ever want to.

I have to say this

I have a friend who is a die hard liberal

He thinks everyone with an R at the end of their name is evil
( as in Republican)

I ran a little scenario by him

I told him If I was president I could take the us easily

First
Go after the republicans
Arrest all of the major people in fox
include all the big names..

I would be cheered by the liberals..

then to help keep america safe

Enact the strictest gun control laws in the nation

Move my people into positions of power in the police and FBI
Seize all of the guns

Remove conservative judges by framing them excetra.. violations of the law.. like violating gay peoples rights

Champion the great down trodden...

Then when I have about 80 percent of the guns in my control

turn on the liberals
Arrest their news outlets people.. censor them for national security, the children ect..
the congressmen and women

He told me the Liberals would protest

I laughed at him

Go ahead.. I took all the guns
They dont disperse.. killem.. they cant stop me

He got this look on hs face

I told him now That I control the guns
What news station is going to run a story when they get fined.. The cant fight.. no guns the last ones left were liberal.. they can try to shout but will be unable to

He does not want to have the conversation again

He thought the protest would matter..

with out the guns he realized no one would be able to fight

At that point cut my cost as ruler

The scenario sounds bad.. most of the ones approving do not realize what they are approving..

It is however that easy.. You could even take the guns from the cops...switch to non-lethals...

No one in your way...
keep this in mind it is with the approval of the people
ill they are under the yoke by there own hand..

California is the same scenario
