Thank you, I have never heard of this ribbon before. By the time I was born in 1970, my father had already served and he didn't speak much about his time in the military.

Your Dad definitely was awarded the NDSM, as he served during the Vietnam War. Sounds to me like he was one of the GI's of his era most deserving of it, too.

Thank you. I didn't intend to sway ths forum one bit, but I guess some will read a post and make of it what they will. I didn't intend to insult anyone. I think I have made that clear.

Again thank you.

Then what did you mean by,

A dentist! Wtf...did he save many lives?

It certainly seems like you were implying that he was undeserving of the award for simply serving in the military during a time of war. And by extension, everyone else that did not directly "save many lives".

I am sure Public can speak for themselves but looking at their response; it was done out of ignorance (not hate, just didn't know). Why you and another have decided that this is where this thread needs to go is beyond me. He/She acknowledged that they didn't know that it was awarded to any service member upon entering the Armed Forces after 9/11 as I pointed out.

That should be good enough for sane people to recognize. Geesh.

I'm always amazed at the level of intellectual dishonesty in threads like this posted by folks who wear their hatred of law enforcement on their sleeves. Without full information and using information from bad sources they assume that law enforcement is always wrong, when more often than not its the other way around.

A car is an incredibly deadly weapon. You cant taser a car but it can kill large numbers of people.

I read nothing about any "gate". The reports I'm reading all say a barrier. That must have been an early report and in that case it is the media's fault for making crap up.

They may have saved that one year old's life in fact. This woman was crazy enough to do this with her baby in the car. How insane do you have to be to do that? How dangerous do you have to be to do that?

I'm withholding judgement until all the facts are out. To do otherwise would just prove I'm an irrational Cop Hater who wants the Cops to be at fault. If in the end they were wrong, I'll condemn them strongly. Now though I'd be wrong to leap to conclusions based on some kind of irrational hate.

I meant, just what I said...did he save many lives! What didn't you understand! Again, I have never heard of the ribbon, I've never served...should I automatically know what it is?

Anyway, this is ridiculous and if you and a few others get off distracting the thread by critiquing my grammar, then have at it! I'm done.

I made a comment, if it was ill received, then maybe I made a poor choice of words. Insulting any military member, absolutely not!

This knit picking as gone far enough. Lets move on.

It is and I could tell that she was ignorant of who qualified for that award, and only that, so I said that and then posted the requirements for her to help her better understand it. Now that she knows who or what qualified for that medal everything is great and we can focus on the OP.

I agree with you, I do think they in fact saved that childs life. I just can't get over the whole entire incident....it's just bizarre. I just want to know why she did what she did?

To those that claim this was a random barricade that she rammed, you can even see it on Google Maps' Street View.

goo.gl...

It was the barricade at 15th and E street that keeps unauthorized vehicles off of E Street:

A black Infiniti with Connecticut plates strikes a security post at the entrance to the White House at 15th and E streets NW. Witnesses said officers pull a metal barrier into the driver’s path, but the driver accelerates, knocking down the barricade and striking a uniformed Secret Service officer before hurtling east down Pennsylvania Avenue toward the Capitol with police in pursuit.

www.washingtonpost.com...

You can see the type of metal barrier they're talking about in this picture of the checkpoint taken earlier today:

It would make sense that this is what caused the minor damage on the front driver's side fender, as opposed to her impacting a concrete barricade or one of the metal barricades in the street (her car certainly didn't look like the cop's that ran into one).

I'm curious if anyone has heard that in the letter authorities found at the condo she shared with her mother, that Obama was mentioned?

Mirian Carey also goes by Miriam Carey.

Strange thing is this was her boss.

Lieutenant Commander Evans
hamden.patch.com...

Hamden periodontist Brian L. Evans, D.D.S., M.S. was honored by the United States Navy earlier this month for completion of five years of reserve duty after his initial 3 years active duty.

Among the decorations Lieutenant Commander Evans earned and received was the National Defense Service Ribbon and Commendation Medal. Presented by Admiral Cullison in 2007 was the Commendation Medal for his meritorious service in the superior performance of his duties as a staff periodontist while serving active duty in Norfolk, VA July, 2004 through July, 2007.

So do you think there's a connection? I'm trying to understand what her boss may have to do with any of this. Or we're you just making mention?

Woah! I actually see where is going now.

Thank much again.

Please clue the rest of us in please!

I'm not going to get the answer am I. That's what I mean.

One I want to thank those to finally give a name to the unfortunate one for making a series of bad choices in a heavily armed area.

This doctor works in a field where heavy duty drugs are given on a regular basis. As all oral surgeons " should have an Anesthesiologist on site "
So for the conspiracy folks here. They'll say it was a set up. Mind control. Patsy.
I've never seen a seizure PT drive with such precision or heavily drugged.
But I've been on a call where a man jumps from a 3rd story parking structure, brakes his legs and keep running. Thanks to PCP. OR 90 yr old grandma kicks my a$$ in a diabetic emergency.

2: This woman could have an affair with the military dentist ( sounds like a good torture specialist ). And got the bad end of the stick. He may have been abusive to her. I don't know.

3 she may have made a bad turn. And with a child in the car did all she could to protect.

As far as saying I can see where this is going.
It was for me. Not for everyone else.
I've learned over the years that the eye witness's are not that good.
THANKFULLY. There were a lot of cell phones in the area.
Other than news outlets trying to break the story first. In which they always embellish.

" AS FAR AS I CAN SEE WHERE THIS IS GOING "

I'm not here to claim the truth.
I have no idea what that is.
At the moment what I saw today which I thought was a drug deal gone bad....really bad..and knowing people are bringing kids to these deals feeling they'll get the all clear.... because who would shoot a child.

Time. What I see is time will pass so I can ad up all the OFFICIAL discrepancies. Then start piecing it together.

If I had the answers. I wouldn't have to come here to see what others have noticed, that I have missed.

Sorry I could not answer you. Next time I will use a better choice of wording.

More reports saying the shots may have been fired inside, but you know how these breaking stories go, I was telling my son just yesterday, Obama needs a false flag event.
edit on 023131p://bThursday2013 by Stormdancer777 because: (no reason given)

Indeed. How convenient.

Still, you're in my prayers America. False flag or no false flag, this sh#t has got to f#cking stop. Stay safe guys. And don't buy the official story. They'll try and spin it regardless of who's responsible. Trust your instincts. Something's not right about these shootings. They're strategic, methodical. Premeditated. There's some kind of agenda at play here. That much is clear.

Anyway, peace be with you America. As much as your country pisses me off, no human being deserves this tragic bullsh#t in their lives. I don't care what your political stance or religious affiliations or prejudices. This is madness. And suspicious. Keep your eyes open. If this is another false-flag, they'll slip up somewhere for sure. They're gettin sloppy. Because they're desperate.

Dangerous times ahead as usual. Be safe, be smart, & be well.. but most importantly; stay positive. Otherwise we lose. Peace

For those unfamiliar with the area, I put together some screen capture images from Google Street view of the first 2 stops.

Stop #1, where she allegedly had a verbal altercation with the guards at this checkpoint.

Then, allegedly, she attempted to leave, a metal gate was slid/placed in front of her vehicle, which she ran over and almost hit a Secret service agent in the process.

Reports have her speeding down Pennsylvania Ave toward the Capitol building (where the House and Senate are located) at speeds upward of 85 mph, while police are in pursuit.

She is stopped by the police and they attempt to box her in at this location, in front of the Capitol.

At this point, the video release shows her surrounded by police, weapons drawn, some of the officers with hands on the doors, and shouting something (audio is unclear). At this point, she is seen backing into a police car, performing a 3-point turn, and when going forward, almost running into another officer.

YouTube Video of subject surrounded and escaping

Notice she attempts to escape going around the "Peace Circle" down the road to the right, police in pursuit, then speeds off down the streets where later (out of sight) she is stopped and fatally shot by police, ending the chase.

And it ended here...
