If we were the most intelligent species on Earth, and so 'poweful and techological'.. Would it be that simple to control BILLIONS? Those 4 things combined, have more MINDS or Souls lost then any other combination the universe has ever seen..

They should check with Robert Mueller and Dick Cheney first, before casting such dispersions on those who simply cannot accept the official story about what happened on 9/11 as true, but who see it more in terms of what Philip D. Zelikow, the Chairman of the 9/11 Commission refers to as "public myth" which is on;y presumed to be true but isn't necessarily true.

It would be funny if it wasn't so heinous, and so utterly barbaric.

In a generation or two no one will think that the twin towers "collapsed" due solely to the plane impacts and they'll all know about WTC7.

In fact, the 9/11 truth movement might very well be seen in hindsight as the first real patriots of the 21st century.

Thinking "outside the box" (independent thought) has pretty much always been outlawed. Farley Mowat, a celebrated Canadian author who writes about animals and nature and man's abuse of these things, was denied access to the U.S. back in the 80's. He discovered that he was on a 'watch list' shared between both countries. His crime? Having thoughts and sharing them. Many people have died in many cultures throughout history for doing exactly this. Actually just being put on a list and watched is a step up from being all-out ostracized and/or publicly executed for heresy, spreading rebellious "propaganda" or whatever.

These days, sharing opinions is merely attacking a bloated, corrupt bureaucracy, and so at worst you'll probably only be listed, monitored and possibly harassed or audited. You'll only put your life or well-being in danger if you take on a specific power group and make them feel that you are a genuine threat to them. Even then, with enough light on you (and them) you can get away with it. Exposing criminals is what they fear the most.

Not that I mean to make light of this. I'm all about rights and freedoms and these days they are certainly under attack and people need to stand up and defend them. We only have them in the first place because people fought for them. I'm just pointing out that it's the same old power struggle between The Man and The People that this world has witnessed throughout human civilization. It really all comes down to greed, pure and simple. Some people sell will their soul for a few thousand dollars, while others would rather die than ever sell out on their principals.

Maybe some in charge don't like it when some people doubt them, and also observe enough things to read ahead of their play book. Understanding what you need to know to avoid danger also can be used to be dangerous and vice versa. It's a tool like any other and knowledge is power as they say.

However now that everybody in the world is able to communicate, we realize that the majority wants the same things. It gets harder to paint people as the boogy-man for whatever reasons. Religion, nationality, etc. isn't a good excuse anymore. (Most people in Iran, China, Pakistan, Venezuela, or wherever want their three square meals, a roof over their head, the utilities running, and the freedom to mind their own business. And just like anywhere, most would say it's the gov't that sucks.)

It turns out the ones that really cause trouble just don't get their means to do so out of thin air. Weapons and supplies, and the time to train in order to use them costs money. Follow the money trail, and it becomes obvious that most terrorist groups are mercs despite whatever dogma or doctrine they shout themselves or get painted with by the media. It's almost embarrasing when you do enough research to see yesterday's "enemy" as today's "friend" and vice versa. Terrorists are paid to start wars and drum up conflict by those that would be out of work or otherwise kept idle if they didn't exist.

Unfortunately it seems the stuff Eisenhower talked about decades ago is well on the mark. Few in the past bothered to heed the warning, but it should be a lot more obvious now.

It seem the old world order working under the monicker of "New World Order" isn't liking it much when the actual emergent new world order is starting and becoming more ready and willing to change things. (To understand what I mean here, read H.G. Wells. The title of his work predicting things in that regard should be obvious. Some is definitely dated, but it's got an interesting point to it and some things it describes are uncanny.) So much harder for anyone to be on top if there are no secrets and everyone is on the level.

So now it looks like they need an excuse to go after whistle-blowers or potential whistle-blowers that will call them on the BS. After all, how can they keep playing the game if the public isn't willing to go along anymore?

history has a way of repeating itself. At this point literally one should be thinking in terms of "I need to get out of here asap". And getting a second passport. There's a site called Escape Artist. It tells all the stuff about how to move to another country. Canada is right behind the you es. I can't believe the stuff that's going on here. I remember specifically in the 80's and 90's and even some of the 00's there wasn't all this stuff going on. The amount of things that are happening makes me nervous. We have Peace officers (not police but peace) EVERYWHERE. Like anywhere you can possibly think of. I'm thinking hmmmm where have I heard of this before....lets see.... ummm.... Brown Shirts?

This stuff is absolutely ridiculous. All of this makes the majority of the population a terrorist.

Truth will always terrify the terrorists, the REAL ones. It appears 9/11 truth isn't something the ruling freakocracy can sweep under the rug any more. Too many people are on to them. It's just a question of when, not if, the truth comes out. The big unknown is: What will happen as a result? Will there be any REAL change, which would include no less than THE unequivocal end of rule BY secrecy? Or will the Old ("New") World Order just morph into another version of pathocracy, paranoia etc. that controls the existing (vampiric) political world? Down with the waterboarders and the overall waterboarding mentality; that is, it's time for the destruction of rule by fear and ignorance, which includes all psychological as well as physical torture.

Well that FBI list finishes me. Not surprised though I always thought I would be hauled off and black bagged by the government one day. The 3 letter agencies and most of our government aren't even really American these days.

I hope these paranoid freaks get a what all good NAZI's deserve.

Looks like me, my entire family, my co workers, neighbors, friends, and people I attend church with will all be in the dog house.

"None of the listed actions, in and of themselves, constitutes a criminal violation." So why are the unnamed authors asking people to report non criminal actions? So Homeland security can put a person, who has not committed a criminal violation, on a watch list. Or is that an enemies list, a person who can be framed list, blackmailed, etc. etc.?

This is not how I want my tax dollars and borrowed dollars spent. And why doesn't the author disclose themselve(s)?

The FBI is instructing local police departments and "communities against terrorism" to consider anyone who harbors "conspiracy theories" about 9/11 to be a potential terrorist, in a circular released to local police departments.

The memo thus adds 9/11-official-story skeptics to a growing list of targets described by federal law enforcement to be security threats, such as those who express "libertarian philosophies," "Second Amendment-oriented views," interest in "self-sufficiency," "fears of Big Brother or big government," and "Declarations of Constitutional rights and civil liberties."

A newly released national poll shows that 48 percent of Americans either have some doubts about the official account of 9/11, or do not believe it at all.

FBI calls half of populace with 9/11 doubts potential terrorists

Go figure. When you try to pry at the truth and have an opinion on things that makes you a "terrorist". I swear the American gov't is getting so paranoid they are just going to start labeling everyone a terrorist. They should have bigger things to be worrying about in my opinion.

The article refers to sleeper cell agents, that most of us know, as trained killers that are to be activated at anytime. The gov't are pros at this in my opinion are are prolly the ones behind them.

"Sleepers" refers to "sleeper cells," in FBI jargon, which are terrorists awaiting orders to be activated into terrorist activity.
In 1998 it was declassified by the Pentagon that the Joint Chiefs of Staff had approved a plan, in 1962, to attack and kill US citizens to "provide justifications for US military intervention in Cuba." The plan was code-named Operation Northwoods, the face page of the declassified document is below.

According to the polling firm YouGov, 38% of Americans have some doubts about the official account of 9/11, 10% do not believe it at all, and 12% are unsure about it.

Too much doesn't add up for me to believe the 9/11 reports. It definitely points to a full blown conspiracy. So what do you all think ATS?

edit on 20-9-2013 by SloAnPainful because: (no reason given)

It was actually called Operation Northwinds and it was a false-flag op put forth by the military-industrial complex via the Pentagon's Chairman at the time, Lyman Lemnitzer, who proposed false-flag ops perpetuated by the U.S. covert-ops on parts of Florida and Washington D.C. to justify increased U.S. military intervention in Cuba. Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara didn't give him a response, he merely said, "I'll get back to you on that." Several days later President Kennedy informed him via a letter that he'd been fired and replaced.

Probably backs up my theory that it was the military-industrial complex behind JFK's assassination, as shortly before he was killed he was planning to end U.S. presence in Vietnam, and shortly after that, his VP, LBJ, went forward with increase troop presence in Vietnam shortly after the 'Gulf of Tonkin' incident, which I have always presumed to be a false-flag due to the failed Northwinds op.

I agree.

It seems they are losing control of the discussion. Many people simply won't talk about the subject, but those that do talk about it seem to understand that the official story simply cannot be true. It will not withstand even the most superficial scrutiny.

I think the powers-that-be see this happening and are a bit worried.

Just out of curiosity how many out of that group committed acts of terror?

Every one is a potential terrorist, the question is does harboring a believe that 9/11 was a false flag orchestrated by the government make someone more likely to dabble in terrorist activities?

The answer for my money is most definitely a resounding yes.

If someone is fanatical enough form a islamist point of view they could hold a believe that 9/11 was a inside job conducted by the US government to permit US forces onto Islamic lands. Its a pretty strong motivation to go start attacking American targets, indeed the Boston Bombers were found to have a interest in 9/11 conspiracies.

Then if we look at this from a nationalist point of view we can reach the same conclusion. Again if one is fanatical enough and believes that 9/11 was a false flag to bring about a tyrannical government in the US then nationalist domestic terrorists may see this as a justification to conduct attacks against the American government.

In short holding a view that 9/11 was some grand false flag does make one more likely to commit acts of terrorism based on these believes than a individual who believes it was 19 guys hijacking some planes. That however does not mean 48% of the American population are now all being watched and have had "terrorist" stamped against their name, rather its just the feds saying that a conspiracy theorists view of 9/11 may make individuals more inclined to engage in terrorism themselves. Which to me makes perfect sense, its not to say that everyone on ATS is now a terrorist, but i bet there have been a few members on ATS who have thought about attacks against the federal government for some pay back or to expose what they see as government lies.

You might not like it but its true.

It still amazes me that there are people out there (a small minority though they be) that try and dispute the fact that this is really going on. Oh yeah, you're all just a bunch of paranoid crazies...

Here's an interesting document taken straight from the DHS website:
Publicly Available Social Media Monitoring and Situational Awareness Initiative Update
ETA: I bet that if you look at the list of words that will get you flagged in this document, you will find that hundreds of them have already been used in this thread...
