Media Ignores Planned Parenthood Found Guilty Of Medicaid Fraud, Ordered To Pay $4.3 Million

Perhaps we should Ban Dentists too.

“As alleged, these operators of dental practices throughout Connecticut defrauded the Medicaid program of more than $20 million over a two-year period,” said U.S. Attorney Fein.

Dental Practice Operators Charged in $20 Million Medicaid Fraud Conspiracy

That should put a smile on your face.

Yes, people who misappropriate funds and commit fraud should be prosecuted. Notice that the dentists were charged and will be tried. PP not so much. Because of the politically correct nature of PP, no one wants (until now it seems) investigate their use of taxpayer funds. Sounds like waste, fraud, and abuse should be stopped any place it is found with no sacred cows.

Don't pay for anyone's STD treatment with tax dollars.

Great! No epidemic problems in that line of logic! We all know that teenagers have scads of money for these kinds of things!

I am a libertarian.
I propose a simple solution.
Have everyone take care of themselves.
Don't pay for anyone's STD treatment with tax dollars.
I also against forcing people to pay for other people's mistakes.

So, that's the Libertarian spin on abortion is it?

Same old ideologies different slant.

I was talking about STD's.
Have all the abortions you want, I don't care.
It doesn't affect me.
Unless you want to force me to pay for them.

How does a teenage STD epidemic affect me?

I'm not having sex with teenagers.

You are forced to pay for all kinds of atrocities, such as unjustified wars and corporate sponsored welfare and greed, through your taxes, but abortion isn't one of them.

Tax money shouldn't be going to Planned Parenthood regardless.

Right !

That's one good point.

This new investigation will show how PP has been doing an end run around the Hyde Amendment as well as the all the fraud.

Maybe some of our Left Wing friends can tell us how they do it ?

The Hyde Amendment extension is (I think) in 'limbo' because of the budget conflicts in Congress.

Maybe the PP / Hyde Amendment question is partly why the Liberals don't want a budget agreement ?

Hmmm.

Why should my tax dollars pay Child Protective Services? I'm not beating or neglecting children, mine are grown! Why should I worry about hunger and pay for food stamps? My fridge is full!

Good points all.
We'll bring you around yet.

Although I feel the need to remind you that when you said this...

Let's legislate Christian morality too!

You would think that you wouldn't want to legislate the very things that Christians preach.

Yep, I'm against my money paying for all of those things too.

I could use a little help.
Have you voted for someone other than Democrat/Republican lately?

And why did you switch it up to abortion now?

I am a libertarian.

So am I, but I also have this little thing called humanity where I don't like people to suffer while I am content. Part of the reason society is so crappy right now is this me me me attitude. "Well it doesn't effect me, so screw em." I'm not talking about certain government mandated forced help, I'm talking about a societal problem here. No one cares enough about their fellow man and so we have these people who are so down and out that they have to rely on government assistance to get by. Meanwhile, people with more than enough can't be bothered and fight tooth and nail to keep all that extra that they could afford to do without. Trust me my parents and I have been close to homeless (and have lost quite a bit of weight thanks to eating as little as once a day for long periods of time). Before things went to hell, my parents made good money. I'm not asking anyone to pity me, but I just want you to know that this can happen to anyone.

If we want to dig ourselves out of this societal rut we are in, we need to start with our communities. Help out the people in need. Get them on their feet and employed. In the case of STD's or unplanned pregnancy, help them out in these cases too. You should be honored to be putting your taxes towards helping others. Worry about the taxes that are going to killing untold innocents with drone warfare.

Sorry I got into rant mode. I'm just tired of seeing this hate towards helping people out who are down on their luck.

And why did you switch it up to abortion now?

As I posted earlier, this thread is about abortion and restricting it, if not banning it altogether, and attacking any and all institutions that promote affordable, accessible and safe abortions.

Just another attack in the War on Women and their reproductive rights;

Members of Congress announced Monday that the General Accounting Office (GAO) will conduct an investigation of every dollar of federal funding going to Planned Parenthood and other organizations that support less restrictive abortion.

"All organizations that support less restrictive abortion" means affordable, safe and accessible abortions is what is really under attack.

Planned Parenthood doesn't "perform" any abortions, they guide in directing clients to the appropriate services and provide information in which to have said abortions. Planned parenthood's funding comes from approved State and Federal waivers in which the applicant may be approved for completely free medical supplies, exams and tests. It's been an ongoing fight to continue funding for the program for the last several years, and there's been some discrepancies regarding the system in regards to qualification status.

it's definitely been more strict within the last year foremost about keeping tabs on it's finances; what supplies are being provided at zero cost and especially the quantity, as the financial bracket for free services has been very lenient. In the past years there would be no papers to sign off on for the supplies and services given, but in most recent years they now have you sign papers detailing the cost of everything provided, and in so doing the system in which to obtain and keep the waiver has been flawed (possibly deliberately) in order to provide FPHS with further funding by "backdoor" means. But no, they don't "perform" any abortions.

Like what Christian teaching, in particular, would you want to legislate? No fornication or adultery?

Or this one?

Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

The abortion industry giant performed a record number of abortions in 2012, and received $542.4 million in taxpayer monies, which represents a record amount of funding.

.
:

So Planned Parenthood has already been repeatedly investigated and examined.

The facts remain that only 3% of thier services go towards abortion.

And NO Federal funds are spent for Abortion Proceedures.

Those are the facts..Check Politifact..
www.politifact.com...

SO the GOP demanding that the GAO conduct investigations is just another waste of taxpayer funds to stroke thier religious base IMO.

I think that you are missing what I am saying.

YOU are the one telling me that I have to care for others.
While railing against legislating Christian morality.
Remember saying it?

Let's legislate Christian morality too!

You are the one preaching it. Not me.
You ask me this....

Like what Christian teaching, in particular, would you want to legislate?

When I have plainly said this....

I am against most of the laws that we have on the books.

Catch up with the conversation.
