It is on the Radio now! world service.
they repeat a lot so you can listen tomorrow just after 6pm GMT.

they are saying that homeless people and babies get eaten.
I thing this is very nasty Propaganda.
they are demonizing North Korea.

if this was happening ( witch I dont believe)
Why are the Not letting food get into the countries?
would that not mean the rest of the world is starving a whole countries to death!
Making them resort to cannibalism.

It's not propaganda, it's actually occurring. The people are starved and the leadership is crazed and apathetic.

Just said that children give food to beggars with poison in it.
say they can kill and eat them.

so they can give food away and pay for poison?

North Korea is good at rationing food.
they have been doing it for some time.
the rest of the world have made it hard for them.

If I was the leader of north korea.
I would protect my self.
they are out to destroy them.

I think your North Korean.

No one is out to destroy NK it doing that itself.

And the whole country is on the brink of starvation. Thousnads of defectors and refugees have stated that.

And you know it's actually occurring how exactly? Have you seen it with your own eyes? Just curious.

Ask the millions of starving people in NK if there is cannibalism going on. It certainly is and it is nothing new. This is not propaganda, sometimes, things REALLY are heartbreakingly true as reported.

Count me as also curious how you know...

Do you seriously believe that the west does not use propaganda for it's own means? (WMD much?)

You get stories of Cannibalism in America.
they are real!
does this mean ever one is doing it?
and that they are starving?

One thing that stands out for me was something that told to me in a college class when we were touching on propaganda. Before most wars the rival countries will spread news of their enemies killing children or babies in horrible ways. It makes it easier for the population to demonize their enemies and accept the destruction of others.

When I hear this about North Korea it always gets me thinking because I have always thought it was notoriously difficult to get SOLID information about life in North Korea. Could it be true? Sure but I'm reserving judgment until we have the facts.

There are various news reports on the topic, coupled with the trend of famine going hand in hand with cannibalism. It doesn't matter whether the country is North Korea or the United States; starving people will take extreme measures for sustenance. Remember the Donner party?

I can provide links if you are too lazy to type "Cannibalism in North Korea" into a search engine.

You have how this works backwards. It's up to the person making the claim to validate their claim. This cannabism lark has been going on for years and if people still buy it I have a bridge in San Francisco for sale if you're interested.

Show me proof of millions of starving people in N.Korea
Show me proof of cannibalism in N.Korea

And if all you have is someone else saying it's happening and they have no proof either, then keep trying. Kthx

The first reports I heard of it go back 10 years, and were from China.

But this is ats so I'm sure someone will say that the evil U.S Government invented Time Machines , and they went back in time and planted that story. Before we all learned to wear tinfoil hats. To prevent just such things from happening.

Maybe so but all the reports in the world don't amount to a hill of beans if they are fictional reports. We call those kind of reports, propaganda.

10 years? Come on I say 20! And why? That is when The Clinton administration started having fears about North Korea! Let's go back even further to almost 70 years now and the division along the 38th parallel of Korea.

Whenever I hear a emotional story like this with a country that we are at odds with my first instinct is PROPAGANDA! As sad and as horrible as it may (or may not) be I will not be motivated by this war mongering tactic! Let Korea's people deal with starvation and we will deal with their leaders threats or maybe they will finally rise up themselves!

You remember those Iraqies killing babies right? Or maybe you dont!

North Korean cannibalism fears amid claims starving people forced to desperate measures

Reports from inside the secretive famine-hit pariah state, North Korea, claim a man has been executed after murdering his two children for food.

The grim suggestion that North Koreans are turning to cannibalism were reported by the Asia Press, and published in the Sunday Times.

They claim a 'hidden famine' in the farming provinces of North and South Hwanghae has killed 10,000 people, and there are fears that cannibalism is spreading throughout the country.

The reports come as sanctions are tightened against the backdrop of angry rhetoric over missile testing.

In one particularly disturbing report, a man was said to have dug up his grandchild's corpse. Other lurid reports included the suggestion that some men boiled their children before eating them.

Asia Press is a specialist news agency based in Osaka, Japan, which claims to have recruited a network of "citizen journalists" inside North Korea. The reports are considered credible.

Interviews have led Asia Press to conclude that more than 10,000 people have probably died in North and South Hwanghae provinces, south of Pyongyang, the capital.

North Korea has not confirmed or denied any reports of the deaths.

One informant, based in South Hwanghae, said: "In my village in May, a man who killed his own two children and tried to eat them was executed by a firing squad.

"While his wife was away on business he killed his eldest daughter and, because his son saw what he had done, he killed his son as well. When the wife came home, he offered her food, saying: 'We have meat.'

"But his wife, suspicious, notified the Ministry of Public Security, which led to the discovery of part of their children's bodies under the eaves."

Jiro Ishimaru, from Asia Press said: 'Particularly shocking were the numerous testimonies that hit us about cannibalism.'

Another of the citizen journalists, Gu Gwang-ho, said: "There was an incident when a man was arrested for digging up the grave of his grandchild and eating the remains."

A middle ranking official of the ruling Korean Workers Party said: "In a village in Chongdan county, a man who went mad with hunger boiled his own child, ate his flesh and was arrested"

A new UN agreement, passed on Tuesday, extended sanctions already imposed on North Korea after it held nuclear tests in 2006 and 2009.

The current rise in tensions and extension of sanctions follows Pyonyang's defiant decision to push ahead with a long-range rocket launch on December 12 - insisting it was a peaceful mission to place a satellite in orbit.

Despite the insistence of the regime that the test was peaceful the rest of the world saw it as a banned ballistic missile test.

The United States, supported by Japan and South Korea, spearheaded the new UN resolution.

This week North Korea once again raised the level of rhetoric over sanctions, threatening war with its neighbours in the south saying: "If the South Korean puppet regime of traitors directly participates in the so-called UN 'sanctions', strong physical countermeasures would be taken," the North's Committee for Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland said.

Ok learn it from the horses mouth. These are N Korean defectors being interviewed. I 'm pretty sure you will call them liars. Because their words don't confirm your views.
