Always happy to help. Never been called a brick before, but I'll take it as a compliment...

If you like I can extend the background image to give you a full spread background based on the scribblings around the portrait. Free of charge of course.

Paint is the easiest thing to use. Up the top it has a 'resize' function. All you do is click on it and set it to pixels. An avatar size is always 170x240 pixels, a background is always 180x480. Most of us here just learned by doing, I had no clue how to use my paint programs when I started, the beauty is, you just can't stuff it up. Make a mistake, you just press ctrl-z and it goes away...

I forget about freezing, I live in tropical Australia. Lovely and warm, but on the tail end of wet season right now. If it weren't for heading south a few weeks ago, I would have forgotten what the sun looks like....

This is a background. When you uploaded your avatar, to the right of the 'use as avatar' line there is a 'use as profile background' line. Click this instead of use as avatar, and it will load this behind your daughter's image, and give you a picture the same size as mine.

This image is a special one also. My youngest daughter has been on at me forever to have a go at digital design. Apart from basic layering of the butterflies and the skull, this is all her work, her very first background image. Not bad for 7 hey.

OK, so here goes....


I took your original background of the carrier launch and cartoonified it. Then put the cat in the cockpit....

Look closely you have your username on the side of the aircraft.

And yes, it was good for me too....

OMG...

So now you gotta set it as a background.

First, copy and paste this into your "avatar" space under TOOLS+

h ttp://files.abovetopsecret.com/files/img/pu4ffdf498.gif

(Remove the space between the h and the t at the start and hit submit.)

Then upload the image, and click on it. It should come up with this screen;

Click on the 'use as profile background' it will come up with this screen;


Just click submit and you should have your full screen background.
