A federal judge on Wednesday continued to question the FBI's explanation for not producing videotapes associated with the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that a Salt Lake lawyer has sought for nearly six years.

"It's quite astounding that documents as important as these went missing and the FBI says, 'Well, they're gone,'" U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups said during a motion hearing.

Trentadue contends the FBI has acted in bad faith by not providing the videotapes he has sought since December 2006.

"Their response has been, 'We looked for it. We can't find it,'" he said.

www.deseretnews.com...

It's very important to note that the article states that other courts say that they provided significant info
So many courts just don't care about justice in other words

Thankfully one court does care, this should get more press
If not by the press than by us spreading it!

To be honest I didn't know much about this event as it occured when I wasn't so much into this kind of news but perhaps I should read more about it

Missing tapes.....
They want to spy on everyone, have a massive database of our every activity but can't find the tapes for this major event

Oh, the old "we can't find it" defense.

Isn't it amazing that every time there is a major national event like this, files, documents, and tapes mysteriiously go missing?

It's astounding to me that given the national importance of this case, law enforcement agencies can't keep better tabs on the evidence. After all, law enforcement keeps evidence of cases and drags it out 25 years later to get a conviction in even the smallest crimes.

Of course, a huge coverup of what actually happened would be the best explanation.

Im a little confused. Why was this lawyer requesting them? Is this part of a trial? Or is this lawyer asking for them almost as a foia.. and does anyone expect these videos to be anywhere presentable? Of course not. Im suprised they havent lost the videos of the "moon landing".

This govenment lies with the intelligence, creativity and believability of a 6 year old. And the people just keep on buying it. No wonder they think they can do anything they want and get away with it. They literally can. What fun it must be to be involved at high levels of shinanigance like this.

Actually, that's exactly what NASA says has happened! See link below....

Whatever people believe may, or may not, have happened at the Oklahoma bombing it was a pivotal event in US history, even for us across the Atlantic it can be seen as a defining moment in American history. How the FBI can then loose crucial evidence of the event is beyond belief, not just a mistake, but it actually beggars belief that an organ of the state, the federal body of law enforcement, can loose this single most element of the case.

Something is rotten to the core with the excuses being offered here I suspect!

If the FBI can't, or more likely, won't supply the evidence of this important historical event then a Judge should send someone to prison for contempt until the tape is produced. Maybe if the Director of the FBI was imprisoned for contempt it might energise the rest of the organisation to find the tape and put it out for public scrutiny.

i would even go further: the whole Oklahoma City bombing is not credible...

So... When even THEY can't come up with any new lies that pass the laugh test, they'll just fall back on the old 'The dog ate my homework' routine. Well...that is kinda funny when it comes from my 11yr old. It's pathetic and disturbing coming from grown men running something like the FBI and United States Government.

The FBI isn't sloppy, stupid or incompetent. Call them anything else...but they aren't stupid or poorly trained. If they can't find these, they've been put in a place where they aren't supposed to be found. Someday, maybe we'll find out the truth of who helped little Timmy murder a building full of people and a day care full of kids.

Then again... wow.. We're still talking about the Hoover files from over 40 years ago as it they were entirely mythical with no version in the real world. We MAY never know the truth of OKBomb.

I bet some sealed records will emerge in about 80 years and people will say, "Wow the government sure pulled a fast one on the public back then". "Glad that could never happen today." History repeats itself.

All the major lies are covered up with the old "oops, we can't find them".

OK City...
Moon Landing...
Atlas rocket plans (that was oops we destroyed them)...

Why? Who do you punish for the "oops" excuse? Some file clerk that is just the scapegoat to a coverup that was before they were a clerk?

I thought these videos weren't even presented in the Timothy McVeigh trial as evidence.

Seems like a lot of the important evidence in many of these "false flag" operations goes missing. eg. missing 911 security footage. Way beyond suspicious to me.
Security footage tapes should immediately have multiple copies made and stored securely for future reference. This is elementary in such important historical events.
An obvious coverup to me and oh so convenient for TPTB.
Someone has to be made accountable. Yeah right..

Executing McVeigh was the only thing they got RIGHT in the whole fiasco...how can we forget?

I hope no one goes to carrying this need to identify with the underdog around here to Timothy McVeigh. Even HE didn't make any attempt at playing innocent or like he wasn't good for every bit of what he did. He was just far from alone....and Terry Nichols isn't the help I'm thinking needs to be located and brought to justice some day.

He is trying to find out what really happened to his brother Kenneth. Possibly because he was falsely ID as a player with the group blamed for the bombing.

What would the judge say if the explanation was 'well the whole operation was government run, so....we burned the evidence.'

Wonder if Obama will use the 'i cant find it' excuse for his documentation.

How sure are you that McVeigh was actually executed?
It has been stated that he was still breathing (although shallow) and that his eyes were open when the curtain was closed and the witness's were escorted out of the viewing room.
It has also been stated that the needle was placed in his leg. Something that is never done, for lack of major arteries close to the surface of the skin.

Did they really get that right? Or...............................?

WTF???
The boss of the CIA mind control MK Ultra program visited Tim Mcveigh while he was in two separate prisons.....
I had the sneaky hunch it was another of the mind controlled assassinations that have taken place regularly in US politics since Kennedy!
The US army bombs they took out of the building were planted by a US army demolitions team, that were blown up over Killeen texas an hour after the bomb went off. They and the crew of their Blackhawk helo, were blown out of the air in an explosion that scattered them far and wide......

"Can't Find It."? How many times have we heard this excuse? from everything to JFK to 9/11 to Waco.It shows just how arrogant the Feds have become that they would just roll this out and think that's that and no one other than a handful of us are aware if a everyday citizen used the excuse in a court of law we would be held in contempt of court.

Some days I think that the FBI has a special "pulping room" in every one of their offices to soak, demagnetize, melt, and otherwise destroy anything that they don't understand, don't believe, or that would portray the FBI as liable or negligent, or even responsible, for any discovered incident.

By design everything the FBI gathers as evidence gets processed and stored, sealed and waiting for the time when it is needed for a court case. It may be, for the rules of evidence handling for court cases, that the original video is required, and that does not exist. Maybe the FBI has video that has been enhanced, slowed down, sped up, zoomed in on, pixels circled in red, arrows all over the place, pause frames, and copied a few times, but that is not what was requested was it? Being particular about legalese, it may be that the request for "video" was denied because the FBI may refer to it as a "recording medium" or some other jargon, enough to frustrate anybody who asks more questions that the FBI asks.

The tapes are missing. Where did they leave them last time they saw them?
