Republican Congressional Candidate Says 'Holocaust Never Happened'

Not a good sign - when the lunacy of the Republican party gets so out of hand that a GOP candidate like Art Jones can openly declare their neo-Nazi affiliation and perpetuate the myth the 'holocaust never happened'.

A congressional candidate running as a Republican in the upcoming Illinois primary says the “Holocaust never happened.”

Arthur Jones, 64, a Lyons, IL, insurance salesman who organizes family-friendly, neo-Nazi events around Adolf Hitler’s birthday, hopes to be the Republican candidate chosen to run against Democratic Congressman Dan Lipinski in Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District.

Good to see him expressing his freedom of speech........Oh wait, thats a crime now isnt it?

Do you see him being arrested? Or are you saying we can't exercise our freedom of speech in criticizing this guy for being a full-blown Nazi?

I think it happened but I don't agree with history as to how many Jews actually died. I think the numbers are greatly exaggerated to give the Jews a forever victim card.

While I WILL NOT support the idea that many jews weren't killed in WWII, and WILL NOT support a good many lines of Nazi thought and policy (all too many which have sadly carried on otherwise), I would say further review of his opinions to clarify them may be justified - I have not done so yet.

A great deal is made of the holocaust of the jews, but has anyone here ever run the numbers on how many others were likewise killed by the Nazis? I know absolutely that jews were not their only target, and that even more millions of russians were killed, along with a great many others. Yet, it does seem we tend to only ever hear of the jewish holocaust (and FYI - the jews prefer 'Shoah' as they find holocaust offensive, since it means 'a burnt offering to god')...I would imagine likely a result of some political alliances that have been forged over time, as well as the large numbers of our jewish brethren in various stations of influence and authority - please don't draw any unintended implications on my part from that truth.

I won't presently speculate beyond that on this topic for now, as I've never put much study into it as I should.

Considering none of you can be %100 certain these events took place (or any event has taken place without your presence), anything is possible!

There were one and a quarter million Jews in Germany in 1933, I don't know the figure for the rest of Europe, except Denmark, which had 30,000, it still leaves France, the Netherlands (Holland is part of the Netherlands) Greece,

No you misunderstand, my point was, well in Europe anyway it is now a crime to say the holocaust never happened, making that sort of statement is illegal. Im not entirely sure about America though, wouldnt be surprised if it was.

Infact you cannot deny any attempted genocide anymore In Europe,

Such as, if I were to say in public

"The Israeli government is most certainly not practicing a campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people"

I could go to jail for denying genocide.

Despite the fact my rights to free speech should allow it. Strange really.

50 - 70 million people died in WW2.

4.9 - 6 million of them were Jews.


And you think this is out of proportion? You think these numbers reflect solely on the Jewish people?


You think 4.2% of deaths during WW2 being Jewish is an exaggeration for a "victim" card?

The Jewish population was the minority of confirmed kills in WW2. Yet; the jewish targets were the driving force of said war; hence why they are entitled to the victim card.


70 million people died defending the innocent Jewish population. It's not about how many died, it's about why there was a conflict to begin with.

It happens to be that the Jewish population was first pick for being kicked off the island we call earth in the sea we call space.

He can say anything he wants to... and we being individuals have the right to listen or turn away. That's my personal interpretation of that right to speak and our ability to weigh the facts as individuals.

On a sidenote, it would be interesting to see if a holocaust denial thread would get the [HOAX] treatment here at ATS... I mean, all things being equal, lol.

This isn't a holocaust denial thread, in fact it's the opposite. It's pointing out how radical the right wing of the GOP has gotten that an openly Nazi holocaust-denier is running for Congress on the Republican ticket. I'm sure if the DNC ran someone like this there would have been 50 threads on the topic already.

Jewish prophecies in the Torah require that 6 million Jews must "vanish" before the state of Israel can be formed. "You shall return minus 6 million."

Taking this logically, thus including "the other side of the argument", how do we know that the 6 million required sacrifices weren't met and this was a true supernatural event? Without absolute proof, we can't absolutely discount it.

Last I checked WWII's cause was the Axis powers looking to dominate the world that was the driving force of the war, they were attacking other countries! They weren't sending in the SS all covert like Nazi ninjas and whisking Jews away... they were engaging in active warfare against countries. Blitzkrieg wasn't about bombing only the synagogues in a country! All the deaths weren't because the countries were fighting to save the Jews, the countries were fighting to save themselves!

Playing on the old pun... the Axis wanted a little peace... a little piece of everywhere!

Serious question, where did you learn/hear that the Axis went to war to kill the Jews and the world rose up just to save the Jews?
