The pentagon has announced plans to deploy a 20,000 strong internal troop force into the continental United States (CONUS) that was set to be trained by 2011.It is openly admitted that the internal force will be used to quail civil unrest due to massive large scale terror attacks and/or economic purposes.

Honestly i think we are alot closer than we think.
Martial law is right around the corner if there is an economic collapse.

I hope 20,000 is sufficient to bring civility to
those who may not get their social security/disability
checks next month.

i will agree with the first one...but the other 2 are from 2008 and they were just saying the plans for it...and i think with an economic collapse looming we should be looking at this again

Wow, open plans to use the military against U.S citizens. Of course, it will be in the name of terrorism or protecting infrastructure, but we all know the game by now.

Well if these troops did open fire, 20,000 of them vs millions of us..doesn't seem like a fair fight to me.

A few shots are enough to disperse a crowd of thousands, regardless if half of you are armed, a few handguns is no match for a professionally trained army.

Yes...and they also have a vast resource of arsenal that American civilians don't. This can't be good news any way I see it. If anything...I bet most of these troops will be deployed in Western states.

So, um, isn't this against the Constitution? Also, doesn't this pretty much blatantly show that something is very, very wrong?

There is about the same number of cities, towns, etc. So that's about 1 military person for each one. I don't suspect the authorities are preparing for any "SHTF", being that they would need a few more men...and women...

So is this when the American's that rant on about their rights and the constitution and the militias do something or is that more hot air patriotism?

If before the complete economic collapse of your country there was a "false flag attack". That would draw away the attention of most American people and drive them into the arms of your beloved government. Considering that it looks like Oslo is a good case for false flags at work and troops are being sent to work at home, its probably good speculation that things are going to get crazy soon. When is probably the factor you could debate till the cows came home.

Wouldn't we be noticing a lot a lot a lot more mil presence in those areas? Or am I just ignorant to it? It would be nice to have a website / thread that monitors that sort of activity

What is against the Constitution ? having troops deployed at home? I think not especially when you have the war powers enacted so because your country is in a constant state of emergency a lot more can happen without any say from your congress and you individual rights could be trampled in a min.
