Police Guard

news.sky.com

A police guard had been due to be on the Norwegian island where a gunman massacred at least 86 people but detectives do not know where he was, they reveal.

"There was supposed to be a police officer there," acting police chief Sveinung Sponheim told a news conference, adding that it is unclear where he was.

He also said a British police expert is helping the investigation into Friday's twin attacks that killed at least 93 people as part of cooperation with foreign forces

Sounds more and more like there was an organisation helping this man, or at least he was highly trained in combat to knock out the guard and steal the uniform...and dispose the body on such a small island with many people around. Unless of course he attacked the officer before he was on the island?

What do you guys think? :/...could just be a one-off psycho.

I heard he was found dead, the police officer whom was guarding the island, and that was on Sky news also. Also I heard he had visited the UK a while back, which I find alarming to say the least. Now that we know it was planned, who else knows he was going to do this and are there anyone in the UK who has links to this also.

Actually he was wearing the uniform when he caught the ferry across to the island so why would he steal the guards?

Don't normal cops there not have guns issued to them?

So even if there was one, what could he do but run?

And if it's true they already found him dead on the island, I'll bet that he was one of the first ones targeted.

It also emerged that a policeman, who would provide surveillance of Labour Youth League summer camp, was killed by the perpetrator. He was hired in private, was unarmed and had no protective equipment.

www.aftenposten.no...
When terror accused Anders Behring Breivik arrived Utøya, in police uniform and sharp loaded weapon, ... one of his first victims...(was) a policeman in civilian clothes.
There has been a police officer in private paid overtime that would act as a guard at Utøya, said Deputy Police Chief Sveinung Sponheim in the Oslo police.

Remember the witnesses said their were at least two shooters, one wearing a police uniform, the other who wasn't wearing a uniform. Also reports of a gunman who was shot and wounded. I wonder if this other 'policeman' wasn't in fact the other gunman, who died of his injuries. Who shot him? Breivik or the SWAT team?

Also these tidbits:

Suddenly, they heard a hollow bang. First just one or two, "but then it was an entire salvo," says Heidrun, 53. They saw dark smoke rise up from the island.

Police said initially there was an unexploded bomb found, latter claiming it was a dummy. But there were reports of survivors with burn wounds. And now this account which strongly indicates a bomb did indeed detonate.

"When he heard the helicopter sounds, he believed salvation was approaching, but in hindsight, young people learned that it was the media who had hired helicopters to get an overview of the island."

So the cops couldn't find helicopter or boat to get to the island. Even though their special forces should have been activated after the first bombs went off in Oslo two hours previously. Meanwhile the media can get a bird into the air even as the shooting is going on, and the people on shore form a convoy of small craft to pull survivors out of the water. Uh huh.....
