Norway Tragedy Conspiracy Theories

There have been many threads re: this horrific tragedy. our hearts and prayers go out to the affected and their families. this is a forum to discuss other possible, albeit improbable, theories.
the current main stream media theory is the lone wolf strike, with possible 1-2 other shooters with the same political ilk, consistent with the manifesto. whether this is too convenient and neat with all the available pics, photoshopped or not; not saying correct or not, but wanted to discuss other theories. here's mine: tptb in oslo get emailed/called about an imminent attack that says an attack will happen, but doesn't say where. gov't goes on high alert. at the same time, intelligence/counter advises a fallback plan. if the attacker(s) are muslim, there will be chaos and retribution issues that norway or the world may not be able to deal with in its normal spin. calls are made to us/england/china..., an islamic terror attack in an otherwise apolitical sovereignty would shift agenda against islamic supported countries, more specifically opec countries. with oil at 100, any attack on such a nation would cripple oil production. no country can afford this fallout. a lone wolf is created and a facebook/twitter account created for just such purposes, just in case. information and resources travels slowly on an island- 90 minutes? one of the rules to deal with terrorists is not letting them control media and rhetoric of why it happened. creating lone wolf allows tptb in oslo to work on the actual incident and resolving it in house without going through the world media adjudication.

Oks here is one, He was left to go on a killing spree on that Island for up to an hour. Where were the Police, the Specialists whom are trained in this. Why did it take them long enough to get there.

Aerial footage shows there were larges areas for those trained in this, would have been able to either go dowe by rope or land by helicopter.

The amount of boats which were left unmanned, why were they not used in trying to rescue those who were being shot on that island.

There were helicopters in the air taking pictures, filming this. Why did they not try and intervene? Or try and help those teenagers?

Too many questions so little answers.

Be glad they have him in Custody, if this had happened over in the UK. He would have been shot on the spot. No questions asked.

Maybe because the bomb that rocked Oslo and the threat of more explosions distracted the police just long enough.

Perhaps fear completely crippled the authorities. Total chaos erupted in Oslo and no one knew what the hell was going on. I've heard reports of a fake bomb on the island of Utøya. Perhaps this is what kept police away.

Probably news helicopters. Not sure what reporters as supposed to do.

Anyways, there are lots of questions, and I realize this is ATS ... but all the conspiracy theories sometimes get to me. It honestly seems like people are incapable of believing that a single man can cause such destruction and carnage ... they are severally underestimating some of these psychopaths..

I found it interesting that the opening scene of the new Captain America movie takes place in Norway and it came out the day of the shooting.

Lots of American movies take place in Norway though right?

Very nicely packaged indeed. Facebook and other social profiles put up in the nick of time and filled with horror...

But the MSM get's to use their favorite terrorist handle, "christian right wing extremist", for awhile...but that will probably be disavowed soon...

Ths guy was able to arm himself and had access to fertilizer for a bomb.

This raises a big warning flag over people who arm themselves and grow their own food.

It's just guessing here....but I've put a lot of thought into that 90 minute response time myself. Perhaps there is something nefarious to all of this, as some suggest.. Perhaps though it's all far simpler than that.

Perhaps, just maybe, there are countries in the world where the Government doesn't have SWAT teams, shock troops and actual military tactical teams on 5 minute shock alert at hundreds of sites across the entire nation. Such as..Oh, I don't know...the United States??

I think we're focusing a hair too much on the fact Norway was still a nation of relative innocence and hadn't anticipated the 24/7 standby needs of a fully equipped, trained and capable assault team ready to shoot Norwegian citizens on orders with 0 notice.

Their 90 minute lag on responding isn't a sign of conspiracy theories in my mind. It's a sign, and a sad one, that one of the final western nations to have stayed out of the wars before now, is now blooded and fully committed to the fight whether they wanted this or not.

Where were the Police, the Specialists whom are trained in this. Why did it take them long enough to get there.

I think the police and specialists were more concerned with the bomb that had just gone off in Oslo. This was obviously a diversion tactic by the terrorist.

Exactly! When people stop believing in God it's not that they believe in nothing, it's that they will believe in anything. And after a while the people serving up the slop to the godless and therefore the gullible get lazy.

I'm not buying one word boo coming out of Norway. If the guy hated immigrants why we would he target native Norwegians and not Muslims? If he was worried about the color and texture and character of the future of his country why would he slaughter the kids?

2 days prior of the bomb attack, the norwegian swat police had a drill in bomb attacks.

I that happened in the UK the response would have been quicker, and the outcome would have been different he would have been shot. We would not been able to hear what he has to say, which we will find out tommorrow, when he appears in court.

At 5.26 in the afternoon, police received reports of the shooting.

Oks I will give Norway the benefit off the doubt, they have never faced this sort of thing before, but they would have had rehearsals if such an incident had occurred, which had happened days before this attack.

the terrorists could think thats the best time to strike after a drill as they might be relaxed? im surprised one hasent happend during a drill that would be one of the more better times if u did it away from the drill area

sorry, I don't know where you got your information from, but it is wrong. The police exercise was performed in March, March 17 2010, i.e. MORE THAN A YEAR AGO, to be exact, NOT just before the bomb!!!!

and as for the long response time. Remember, it was on a small island, no quick access to it, and the police were fully occupied by the bomb that went off in Oslo, and that all in a country where the police doesn't even carry handguns.
