Lack of hearing can also result in a high pitched noise. Here in the Netherlands it's a common problem with young adults since they are from the hardcore generation. Listened to lots of loud music, buting their ears and not their hearing is decreasing and they frequently hear a high pitched noise because of it. Simply put, your ears are damaged.

Actually, thats not necessarily correct. My grandmother was sure the neighbours were playing music at all hours. Argued with everybody that denied there was a noise. It was tinnitus.

Have you been to a hearing specialist? You really should seek medical attention.

Thankyou ,people Its not tinnitus as it goes away entirely but Id like for you to think about how many transmissions are in our atmosphere and I still will be searching for an answer.

Move your jaw in and out and see if the pitch changes or gets louder. If so TMJ is the likely culprit.
You should also get your blood pressure checked.
Hope that helps.

You need to read more on tinnitus.

High pitched noise? Not always there, but still hear it quite a bit? Seems to be almost everywhere? Hear it so often that it has become intrusive and irritating (possibly causing other physical signs, like nausea or an urge to put plugs in your ears)?

I just change the channel - it's only Fox News.

Tinnitis is more of an echo effect and more of a roaring this is definitely a transmission

Ummm not really, given i can hear mine right now and there is no echo and its not a roar... mine is like i have a cricket stuck in mid note just next to both my ears, it sounds external and internal at the same time. A long single pure note more or less.

Id say yours is quite possibly tinnitus even though you say you've ruled that out. The fact it has gotten worse would indicate to me it is also (mines gotten worse over the years and i never had it as a child although on occasions I would get short bouts of it)

Theres also the fact that as we age more and more frequencies of sound are lost to us, i believe this is often preceded by a ramped up tinnitus like sound or pop in the ear although I could be wrong on that. Ive had it happen a few times as of late personally and every time it happens I wounder just which new frequencies ive lost to age

Hey OP, what happens when you put in ear plugs, and cover your ears? Does the sound go away or become less audible?

Pardon? lol, your not listening - he said he had ruled out tinnitus. Often its an electric hum you can hear, could be from your cell /mobile phone even.

Well, I would sometimes get e buzzing in the ears if I listened to too loud music or if I got a cold or ear infection.

But it doesn't have to be tinnitus. When I started to meditate, I noticed there was buzzing and I quickly realized the more deeply I was going into the meditation, the louder the buzzing was getting. Now I use that as an indicator of the effectiveness of my technique.

There are some other experiences I cannot share due to forum rules which involved continuous high pitch buzzing in the ears.... (
(
))

People who practice Astral Projection often hear a very strong buzzing sound when they switch from "physical" to "astral" plane.

Also, I remember reading quite a few accounts of alien abductions mentioning hearing buzzing just before the abduction took place. (Just throwing it out there...)

Sometimes at random times at night I get a VERY strong, very high-pitched buzzing. One or two times it was so strong it was like it was forming Morse code or something

In conclusion, I submit to people who claim it's simply tinnitus that it might not be.. simply tinnitus.

Edit: In fact, my ears were ringing pretty hard a few minutes ago

how have you ruled out tinnitus ?

I actually have tinnitus and it sucks. The ringing is pretty much constant and it gets extremely loud at times.

strange thats the high pitch noise you hear as it's constant,
and can hear it even though it's very loud around you..

every now and then i hear a high pitched ring in my ears it's usually only in one ear mostly my right ear
sometimes in the left it stays for awhile, one i notice it and concentrate on it, it goes away
have no idea what it is usually only last for about a minute or two??.

i don't have the best hearing and had gromets as a kid wonder if that has anything to do with it??

Can you tell me more about "gromets" or "gromits"? It sounds like a Briticism. What name is it known by in the US?

I think it is safe to say that there are a million or so legitimate reasons to hear a high pitched sound. When I hear it then I KNOW that it is because I listened a littlebit to much loud music.

But others like elektrical equipment are plausible to, every little thing with a elektrical coil in it makes a humming or squaking electicalsound. It's juist something elektrical coils do.

Bottom line is; You are most likely not hearing E.T.

Thankyou for responding.I know this is a broadcast of some sort The frequency changes in pitch occasionally and when it stops altogether it is such a blessed relief. One of my friends said she didnt know how I could stand it when she heard it.I told you that I am not the only one to hear this. It is not tinitus, I was just hoping some one might have an explanation. Alien blood seems as good an explanation as any.Does tinnitus ever get so loud it threatens eardrum health?Do other people hear it?

Look. I think you need to do more testing before you start believing someone is "broadcasting" to you.

Try earplugs. Did you even consider that?

Waste of time reading this. You aren't that special. No aliens are sending messages into your brain -- there I said it for you!

You obviously have not even done a basic check into the symptoms and signs of tinnitus.

This is ridiculous.

Goodbye.
