4) Releases real # (or at least more realistic than Bush or Reagan) on unemployment with regards to semi employed and those who've given up

Two years ago today, President Obama signed into law a $800 billion jobless stimulus bill that promised to keep unemployment under 8 percent, current unemployment even on the offical figures is 9% and we all know how accurate they are.

5) Pushes a health plan (in the face of criticism) knowing it's flawed but a start in a country that has talked about it but done nothing for way too long.

Yeah pushing idea's that you know are flawed is always a great way to get things going. *sarcasm*

6) Sees the Natural Gas vs. Nuclear Power power struggle playing out during Japan and doesn't cave to the petroleum leaders without providing balance to both

Probably has egg's in both baskets.

7) Sees the Yen / Dollar / Euro power struggle and doesn't pull a Bush crash and grab

Weakening the Yen showing total disregard for the poor Jap's trying to purchase things overseas for recovery and rebuilding materials and instead making sure the US can get what they need cheap. Kick em while they are down.

8) Realizes that the US looks ridiculous on the world stage grandstanding with our economy - so approaches large scale growing mid east revolutions and Acts of God with calm, compassion, humility, diplomacy, realism and intelligence.

He is calm because it is all situation's he and his country can benefit from.

I'm not saying he's not a figurehead. I'm sure that what we see is a team effort.
I'm not saying he's perfect. But so far the US is still here and in October 2008 I honestly was not so sure we'd make it this far this well. We don't know, when things are bad, if they could have been much worse. It's not impossible. When you look at Egypt, Lybia, even Japan, you have to just LOVE the US.

Yet we still have the same system with exactly the same corruption being aloud to happen that landed the US in the 2008 GFC situation.

If there is anyone on ATS that thinks they could do a better job...

Run for office.

Ron Paul can do a better job and hopefully will run for office - if he can't turn things around even a little bit then there really is no hope.

Handling one problem at a time? Are you Joking! His answer to solving the problems at Guantanamo was to close it down... Has it been closed down? Calm with the economic problem?

You think he is releasing the real numbers?!?! The real numbers for unemployment are considerably higher.

Should have stayed out of it IMHO, you do not see them helping Bahrain when they are killing people, instead they are assisting the government there kill protesters by aiding them with military hardware. Why? Because strategically we need a puppet in Bahrain for our US 5th fleet. Makes me sick as a human to see them choose strategically where they want to help and what will be of the most benefit.

He is taking advantage of these situations....more than you know.

Obama has kept the war in Iraq and Afghanistan going. He's bombed Pakistan and now Libya.

He's spent this nation into a hole of debt we'll never grow out of.

The only reason the markets are up my good friend is that the simple idea that the dollar is now worthless.

I applaud Obama for what he has done in sticking to the plan he's had and also like the OP said pissing off both sides by doing so. If anything Libya is a war we SHOULD get into, I mean if standing up for rebels in the face of a dictatorship isn't American then I really don't know what is. Especially when the rebels have openly asked for the worlds help.

This boy child is the most incompetent, vapid and weak individual to ever sit in the seat of power. He is a stuttering gibbering idiot without his machines and handlers. Obama has overseen the largest deficit increase from Washington to Bush combined. He has ushered in one of the most self destructive policies that bankrupts every country in the western world, eventual single payer health care. He has set race relations back by 100 years by his racist divisive appointments. He has overseen record unemployment and implemented the most anti small business policies in the modern world. He has basically shut down all domestic energy policies in the face of a very hostile world. Obama has a racist agenda instilled by his Kenyan father and his anti British sentiments, to make the West pay for all the injustices it forced on the world: ie, make Whitey pay.

This joke of a President would not last the first round with Teddy Roosevelt, JFK, Reagan or even Clinton. Hes an embarrassment that was elected by immature college kids with Che Guevara shirts that have been brainwashed out of their identity, blacks that would vote for their own skin color even if it was Satan himself and white people racked with senility and in the death throes of white guilt. I've read the original post and I've read a few replies. Let's put all of this in the proper perspective.

Obama has no true power, he is a puppet. He does the bidding of his NWO masters. The last true President of the United States was John F. Kennedy, who as we all know was assassinated. Every president since JFK has been nothing more than a puppet.

The American political system is merely a charade, a horse and pony show. We are given the illusion of choice, when in truth we have none. Who ever happens to be the president of America does not matter. If McCain had won, the same stuff that has happened under Obama would have happened under McCain. It TRULY does not matter who is president. It TRULY does not matter who we vote for. It TRULY does not matter if we vote. It TRULY does not matter if we do not vote.

If you want to give credit where credit is due, then all credit would have to go to the Rockefeller family for having complete and absolute control of America. It is the Rockefeller family that runs America. It is the Rockefellers that tell Obama what to do.

How can you say Obama is the strongest president in history when he is nothing more than a public figurehead?

It does not take a time machine to fix things. Just start actually teaching the Constitution in public schools, in English and focus on where things have gone of the track. Sound money policy will be the result, unemployment will go up among those who work in the Federal Reserve but hthat whould be a good thing.
