No one sura before or after would change what the sura said. Stop trying to worm your way out of this. Islam is a cult of War. Compare the history of Islam to the history of the Christians for an example of who's religion is pure. (and i don't mean catholic history...there as bad as the muslims...)

Christians are just as if not more bloodthirsty than Muslims. Look at Christian history and you will see incident after incident after incident of Christian insanity.

In modern times we have Christians in this country killing abortion doctors. One is on trial right now. According to your logic, we should blame all Christians for this one person's actions. Is that right? Are all Christians abortion doctor killers?

I guess if we accept your stereotype then the Christians who brought on the Salem Witch Trials are representative of all Christians everywhere.

You know, I agree that Islam should not be blamed for stuff it didnt or doesnt do.

HOWEVER, I think you are going to far with the "Islam does nothing wrong and all atrocities apparently committed by Muslims are actually done by the NWO pretending to be Muslims."

Lets be real here. I think most rational people know that all Muslims are not terrorists. But I think most rational people also know that some Muslims are terrorists. The CIA is not committing all of the acts attributed to Islamic extremists. They dont need to. There are nut jobs in every group of people, and those people will be more than willing to make the rest of the group look bad by association. I have no problem acknowledging that some of what the US does should be considered terrorism, for instance, and we all know we hear at least as much anti American rhetoric on these boards as we hear anti muslim rhetoric. And the vast majority of Americans are not extremists either.

Another famous man from India (his name was Mohandas Karamchand GHANDI) said, that in fact, many europeans and americans that call themselves christs carry Jesus on their tongues and the devil inside their hearts.

By the way... did you know, that exept those three monotheistic religions, most religions in the world don't know such a thing like the devil?

Especially the so called "primitive" religions like the Native American's or the Indio's in south america don't know any devil. Or better: didn't know any devil until he came over the ocean by ship in 1492.

Yeah, questioned how they imagined the devil, I'm pretty sure they would have painted him with white skin, if they had known their own future.

But I don't want to talk about the devil, because I believe there is no real devil, there's just us, and many of us are full of fear and full of hate.

Maybe you wonder why I talk about "us". Well, that's because I started to stop using the word "them".

"Them" is a very dangerous word. Because when there's a "them", then there's always an opponent. An enemy.

As long as there is a "them" there will be opposition, conflict and war. I dont see personally how we can get away from that with the big three religions having so much power, however, because that "us/them" message is just so strong as a selling point for those religions. But we can certainly hope.

Well, for a final thought, the descendants of the sons of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael, will be opposed until the end because of Abraham's' loss of faith.

As for "religions of faith", well, doesn't that depend on the leaders of said faiths?
Are you Suni? Shiite? Wahabi? Is not a person following a different branch worse than an infidel? One who has "heard the word, but refused to obey"? Hasn't the suni-shiite conflict endured for a thousand years?
For Islam to be accepted as a "peaceful faith", a leader to join the various factions must arise.
As long as every mosque follows a different interpretation and mullah, it is but a collection of people following different paths based upon the interpretation of scripture by numerous scholars in numerous countries.
Though not a christian, I find the simple tenant "love thy neighbor as thyself" leaves vast room for various sects and cults to exist mostly harmoniously.

If I may be so bold, there should be only one tenant, "love thy neighbor as thyself" as the basis of all faith. What you eat, how you pray, numerous other trappings of dogma would make no difference if all obeyed one simple rule.

No. That's not what its saying at all. Read 9:4 again. It is saying to enter peace treaties with the non-believers, and live in peace with them.

America was not founded as a Christian nation. Go back and study the founding fathers especially the writings of Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson as well as the records of the Second Continental Congress. They spoke out strongly against any reference to Christianity and most scholars question their belief in the Christian God.

The colonist came here to escape taxation and the Christian Church in England. Hence separation of church and state as well as freedom of religion being primary components in the establishment of the USA.

It is true that most settlers were Christian, however that is separate from the basis under which our Republic was founded.
