Check out the LISS to see which stations are showing the swarm, its quite interesting
Turkey, Armenia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Zambia, Khazakstan, which you might expect, but also Argentina, Tristan da Cunha, Atlantic Ocean and .........................also surprisingly showing quite sharply QSPA ... The South Pole

It does appear ther is something major going on here - while we know all about the p & s waves - this swarm is smaller in magnitude. Yet showing up as a world wide event. My brain is thinking this is bigger than most are thinking. - USGS is all over it, which says something. There are a lot of dynamics at play here - multiple plates involved. Kinda have my breathe held here - somethings going to give IMHO. But hey - it's all cool - earth does her thing every day and it's business as usual at the park

Shakes head and walks to the frig. makes mimosa and says hello to a nice mellow side of cognac
- wait don't forget the thinking man - I need a smoke as well

The South Pole one threw me, didn't expect that when scrolling down.

Not quite a world wide event like a Mag 7 as there is little sign of it on American or Pacific seismos, but substantial none the less

Just for the record I saved a few of the graphs that I mentioned before.

Muzzy - I can see it registering on almost every seismo - put your reading glasses on - faint yes - but visable.

Also - your link at the top of the page does not link - please check

Thinking about what's going on in Yemen area, there are apparently alot of off shore oil rigs but I can't find any details about how many or where. There is also an area nearby which a company could be starting up geothermal exploration (www.earthheat.com.au...).
I believe these sorts of activities could upset these sensitive zones and quite easily influence the current seismic activity in the area.

Great Link Muzzy - Ya know - I've been saying we have issues - and I do believe Indonsian area is also a part of this - - oh never mind - mind overload

You know - last week - I don't know if I read it here or over on the eruptions blog but there was talk of odd goings on = volcanic and large sounds. I am too tired on this dial up to go find it in all the new things going on - odd though everyone blew the villagers off of the claims they were making and now - we have all this going on - tomorrow first thing I will try and locate the info. - off to find my pillow

Is this typical activity for IU/FURI, Mt. Furi, Ethiopia. Is this volcano erupting or about to erupt?

Felt this one

I was sitting at the computer and the whole house creaked big time. No wobbles or ground shaking.
Its a fair way off from me (150km) so it didn't feel that big.
At the time I thought it was the wind.
S'pose I should fill a Felt report

No reports from Raumati Beach yet.

Here is the link to the article I was looking for. - for some reason this is the only way I can give it.

www.guardiannewsngr.com...:rage-of-the-mountainin-benue&catid=3:metro&Itemid=558

It seems to have settled just some at least in intensity. Does anyone here have the link to the Seismo's in the area of Yemen?

Look at this page. Go to Realtime Network Station List.

Select your siesmo(s)

This is all active data producing seismos on the IRIS DMC network. There are others of course but they are not so easy to find.

Edit: Did it for you.

IL.RAYN (Saudi), GE.EIL (Israel), IL.FURI (Ethiopia), IL.UOSS (UAE)

You can see now why the data - and particularly the older data - is scant.

If you have nothing else to do and don't mind sand and camels.
