Mandroid thanks for the advise, but why are you (mad at me)

The best way of getting points is making good posts or good threads.

A good thread attracts many people and you get points for each reply posted.

Also, a moderator or a Forum Subject Matter Expert (FSME for short) can give you an applause for a real good post, and you receive also 500 (I think) points.

On (really) exceptional occasions the Mods can also give many points, and sometimes there are also games where the participants can get points.

But considering that the points are almost useless, I don't see why you need them.
