NOSTRODAMUS 2000
by Doug Yurchey
The name Nostrodamus evokes everything from reverence, mystery and the occult to total skepticism. It is easy to be a skeptic. It is far more difficult to truly understand. A man from the 16th Century should NOT have been able to write about these 20th Century things:
* Hitler.
* U.S. & its Eagle symbol.
* Free America to the west.
* Napoleon.
* Mussolini.
* Franco.
* Roosevelt.
* Pasteur.
* Atlantis.
* U.S., French & Russian revolutions.
* WWI & WWII.
* The atomic bomb.
* Air warfare; 'flying boats and galleys.'
* The submarine.
* Motors & antennae.
* Man-made mountains.
'Nostrodamus often mentions exact specifics such as 'Franco' and 'Pasteur.' Even a hardcore skeptic must soften when they realize that somehow...modern events were published in the 1672 edition: 'The True Prophecies and Prognostications of Michael Nostrodamus.' In 1946, Henry C. Roberts wrote as he read the 1672 edition: 'I had perused but a few pages when I was struck by the sense of familiarity that these verses seemed to hold for me. Words that that the author claimed held no significance for him, took on for me a definite meaning, became clearly focused into patterns of events - past, present and future.'
Edgar Cayce Prophecies
As Seen on the History Channel
Seven Prophecies That Came True
and Seven Prophecies Yet to Come
Seven Prophecies That Came True
1. Cayce Foresees the Stock Market Crash of 1929
In February 1925, during a Life reading for a twenty-six-year-old physician, Cayce stated that the young doctor would soon find himself in possession of a great deal of money. The reading advised the individual to exercise caution and discretion in caring for his wealth especially in the face of “adverse forces that will come then in 1929” (2723-1).
On another occasion in March 1929, six months before the stock market crash, a New York stockbroker was given a severe warning of the impending “great disturbance in financial circles” that was about to take place (900-425). Cayce stated: “…we may expect a CONSIDERABLE break and bear market, see? This issue being between those of the reserves of nations and of INDIVIDUALS, and will cause—unless another of the more STABLE banking conditions come to the relief—a great disturbance in financial circles. This warning has been given, see?”
2. World War II
In 1935, in an amazing display of precognitive perception, Edgar Cayce warned a 29-year-old freight agent of catastrophic events that were building within the international community. In response to a question regarding global affairs, the readings described an entire world at war. Although not seeing the picture as necessarily an unchangeable destiny, Cayce warned that “tendencies in the hearts and souls of men are such” that these conditions could be brought about:
Edgar Cayce: ...As to the affairs of an international nature, these we find are in a condition of great anxiety on the part of many; not only as individuals but as to nations.
And the activities that have already begun have assumed such proportions that there is to be the attempt upon the part of groups to penalize, or to make for the associations of groups to carry on same.
This will make for the taking of sides, as it were, by various groups or countries or governments. This will be indicated by the Austrians, Germans, and later the Japanese joining in their influence; unseen, and gradually growing to those affairs where there must become, as it were, almost a direct opposition to that which has been the THEME of the Nazis (the Aryan). For these will gradually make for a growing of animosities.
And unless there is interference from what may be called by many the SUPERNATURAL forces and influences, that are activative in the affairs of nations and peoples, the whole WORLD – as it were – will be set on fire by the militaristic groups and those that are “for” power and expansion in such associations... (416-7).
3. The Shifting of the Earth’s Poles Has Begun (Edgar Cayce prediction from 1936)
“Question: What great change or the beginning of what change, if any, is to take place in the earth in the year 2,000 to 2,001 A.D.? Answer: When there is a shifting of the poles; or a new cycle begins.”(826-8 – August 11, 1936)
NOVA, the PBS television program, reported startling discoveries about our planet’s electromagnetic poles and fields. The program was titled “Magnetic Storm” and was written and produced by David Sington. The reason this is of interest to us is that Edgar Cayce predicted that the beginning of the New Age would coincide with the beginning of a pole shift.
He also mentioned that the Sun's activity would increase

Erm, the sun's activity is in cycles, therefore ANYONE can predict this with some degree of accuracy.
Every prediciton you mentioned can be fit into a wide variety of scenrios.
Alas your list will be VERY short if it is looked at with any FACTUAL evidence.
But I'm sure I'll enjoy reading about other people's interpretations.

Russia's New World Order
By J.F.O. McALLISTER Sunday, Jul. 02, 2006
There aren't many clubs harder to join than the G-8. You have to be at the top of the global heap: one of the very richest industrialized countries, potent enough to help steer the world's economy. And you're supposed to be a functioning democracy too. So when Vladimir Putin opens this year's G-8 summit next weekend at the sumptuous Palace of Congresses overlooking the sea 15 km from St. Petersburg, the famously stone-faced Russian President can be forgiven a brief flicker of a smile. The former kgb officer in East Germany will be in charge of a gathering to which, by any objective measure, he should not have been invited.
Even now a small army of diplomats is buttoning up the communiqués that will record a bland consensus on three topics Putin has chosen for the first G-8 Russia has ever hosted: energy security — which Moscow itself made controversial in January by cutting off gas supplies to Ukraine after raising the price of the commodity by 400% — and the less contentious areas of education and infectious disease. But the main focus of attention will be Russia itself: a Russia awash in oil money and emboldened by it, becoming less free at home and more assertive abroad, in ways that have increasingly disappointed and worried leaders who used to talk of a "strategic partnership" but now fear, as one scholar recently put it, that "Russia is leaving the West."

Vladimir Putin pledges to transform economy of Russia into a world leader
Vladimir Putin, Russia’s new Prime Minister, has promised to transform his country into a leading economic power and he predicted that its economy would be larger than that of the UK by the end of this year.
In a fervent speech to the Russian Parliament, Mr Putin, who handed over the country’s presidency the previous day to Dmitry Medvedev, said that he would cut oil taxes to stimulate growth and predicted that Russia would overtake Britain to become the sixth-largest economy this year.
His comments caused the stock price of Gazprom to surge higher, making the Russian utility the third-largest company in the world, pushing aside China Mobile and GE, the American industrial giant, which slumped to fifth place. Gazprom, which supplies a quarter of European gas demand, was valued by the stock market yesterday at $348 billion (£178 billion), surpassed only by Exxon-Mobil and Petrochina, worth $468 billion and $446 billion, respectively.

China paper urges new currency order after "financial tsunami"
Wed Sep 17, 2008 1:45am EDT
BEIJING (Reuters) - Threatened by a "financial tsunami," the world must consider building a financial order no longer dependent on the United States, a leading Chinese state newspaper said on Wednesday.
...............
I believe there are two, or three versions of a New World Order. The western powers have their own version. The eastern powers such as the Russian government, and the Chinese government have become allies for now, to combat what they see as their mutual enemy, the West. But you can be sure that both Russia, and China don't see each other as friends, but rather as just allies.

I have read many of Nostradamus' "predictions"; I have always found them to be very ambiguous and open to interpretation. Please list the predictions he made associated with the people you mention in your post for further discussion.,
Century 1, Quatrain 65 - King Henry II
"The younger lion shall surmount the old
On martial field in duel man to man.
Two breaks at once, eyes pierced in cage of gold,
Death shall come hard as only dying can." (Lemesurier 28)
In 1559 King Henry II of France held a three-day knightly tournament (which was three days of battling), in honor of the marriages of his sister Marguerite to the Duke of Savoy and of his daughter to King Phillip II of Spain. Henry participated in the games himself. Henry was always dressed in full armor and carried a shield with an ornate lion symbol on it. When King Henry won each of his battles, he would raise his visor from his golden helmet, to receive the applause of the crowd.
On the third day of the tournament, Henry was to battle against Count Montgomery in the final duel. The duel ended in a draw. Henry would not except a draw and told the young count that they must do battle again until someone wins. The count did not want to because he knew about Nostradamus' prophecy. Henry continued to insist that they do battle, finally the count agreed.
During the second charge of the duel their lances collided into each other. There was a loud crack when the lances broke after colliding. A piece of the counts lance had pierced through Henrys golden helmet and was lodged in the corner of his eye, also a piece of the lance had pierced into Henrys throat. King Henry died of the two wounds that were inflicted in the duel, but only after ten days of agony. King Henry II had then filled one of Nostradamus' most famous prophecies
Proof - Hitler's Rise and Fall
Were the predictions of Nostradamus simply guesswork as some have surmised or was he truly a the greatest prophet the world has ever known? In his predictions of Hitler's rise Nostradamus wrote (notations italicized):
In the most easterly region of western Europe, a child will be born to poor parents [Hitler's parents were indeed poor, born in Austro-Bavarians frontier]. He will seduce great crowds wit his oratory and will [commonly characterized as the greatest orator in history] make much more noise about the eastern power - USSR [Hitler's greatest adversary]. A new sect of philosophers despising death, gold, honors and wealth will be born on the German borders and those who follow them will have support and audience [Hitler's founding party held these very beliefs and sought to deliver the German people from their sorrows]. Under the saintly appearance of delivering people from servitude he will himself usurp the people's power and the town. He will wreak the worst by trickery with the aid of a new republic, using as text in the struggle the false ideas of the first part of his book [Mein Kampf, Volume 1]. Many will die before the Phoenix dies [millions of Jews perished]. After fifty-five years ten months he will find his last home, when the years 1915, 1921, and 1939 have passed [Hitler born April 1889, died March 1945 at 55 years 10 months] in 1945. In 1915 he will succumb to illness [as a Corporal he was twice wounded in 1915], in 1921 he will have an armed force dangerous to his life [1921, the most successful year of Hitler's new party]; 1939 will be subject to a rain of fire [Hitler's siege began in 1934 and ended in 1945]. The new Nero will hurl into three ovens [Auschwitz, Dachau, and Birkenau where over 11 million Jews perished] young people to burn them alive. Happy they who are far from such acts. Three of his blood Germans will spy on him to kill him [Goerdeler, Leipzig, and General Beck attempted a assassination by bomb that failed]. The new German empire will be in desolation and undergo changed because of the North [USSR, key in the defeat of Germany]. There will be great numbers of condemned person when the heads of state are reconciled [Nuremberg Trials]. But one of them will make sure any difficulties that those who waged war together will not be allies [USSR and USA, allies in wars, starkest enemies in the end].

Actually they were right on several predictions, but right now I can't post them but I will when I feell better. One question though, why do peope such as you continue to waste time in something you obviously don't believe is even possible?
