Kuwait Goes On 'War Alert' As Massive US Armada Heads For Iran

www.nworeport.com

Operation Brimstone (US/UK/French war games in the Atlantic preparing for a blockade of Iran and the likely resulting war) ended 1 week ago.

The lead US ship in these war games and its Carrier Group are now headed towards Iran along with the USS Ronald Reagan and its Carrier Strike Group from Japan.

Likely also under way is the USS Iwo Jima and its group, the UK HMS Ark Royal battle group, French naval assets and French fighter jets on-board the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

Russia just attacked Georgia, a doubling of US Navy in the Region, War Games preparing for a blockade...
This will get ugly.

Count me surprised if something BIG doesn’t happen before W is out of office.

George War Bush will probably do what he can to make it happen, but hopefully the world wont let him.

nothing can surprise me now...

though, a us-iran war is WAY bigger then a russia-georgia war....

This could turn bad...

I just hope nothing more happens... I dont want to see us spiral into WWIII... and make no mistake about it... We are closer now then in a LONG TIME...

Is it way bigger?

How much land after Georgia is TKO'd does Russia have to march through to physically link up actual troops with the Iranians?

Armenia? Lol that would make the Iranians happy and be a pit stop for the Russians

I doubt this has anything to do With Iran...

Russia and Iran have easy access already thru the caspain sea...

A land march wouldn't be worth it, and would go thru some sovergin nations...

Good idea, but i think off...

But how many times have we heard those words in conjunction with one another? Too many since our initial posturing towards Iran. Time after time, the United States Navy has had major surges in numbers towards Iran and nothing has ever happened. Everybody is so quick to assume the worst possible scenario and not look at the bluff record of the US, UK, and other allied forces.

Duh...

Maybe... I understand what your saying...

But he Russians..what they lack in tech compared to us are smart as hell and not unfamiliar with having to hold land...

If it were me... I wouldn't want my armor going to Iran via sea..it's more costly and vulnerable and the US has bases in turkey and Europe... and there isn't nearly the anti aircraft coverage...which is our only truwe superiority over sea as over land...

IF and I say IF Russia is planning on backing up Iran... you'd want to secure the land all the way down...

For the Russians superiority...it's not so costly short term and... they can slam literally unlimited amounts of hardware into the midle east that way...

By ship...we could probably pluck them out of the water...

Tanks... roll over land...

I'm not saying for sure this IS what they are doing...

But it sure is convienient timing

and after Georgia... it's just Armenia and...them and the iranians aren't exactly friends..nor with Russia

LOL side note... I searched for a city name in Armenia before...

and Google maps brought up part of Glendale California... if you know the area that's funny as heck

it's just worthy of serious consideration... because if Russia goes to war or Iran... it won't be the politically correct version of war we see from the USA these years...

It wil be War.. real War already is... from what I am seeing...

I do not put it past Russia that if they decide to act...to walk through a couple of countries along the way Kill the resistence clense the street and march straight through...

we have all this tech, but we haven't... even remotely gone to WAR these years... we phone buildings and tell the people to get out and then drop bombs on them empty with big explosions for the news... and kill, only rebel factions and things like that...

Russia if they have decided to fight will make this a kill zone

Russia has sent only 10% of it's local military to the area, and specifically South Ossetia. It's a reality that Russia has kicked in the door, cleaned shop, and has now ordered a cease fire.

I don't see what's so out of control about that.

I don't either actually... but, the potential for western stupidity into Russian affairs is actually enourmus here...

and I think...there is intent here...a message to the USA about Iran... that it's not all about Georgia as it would seem...

Thats all... I see this as... Russia demonstrating Exactly how fast and how easilly it could link down to Iran and engage us in a land war if it chooses to...

My other real point is... We in America have been going into these wars... without even needing a strategy...

I think the Russians are alot harsher than we are...there is no...PC in their military...

I see this as classic Russian Chess moves...

and we, aren't even playing Chess yet at all... we throw massive tech and hardware at things and ... show it on TV as a mini series...

If this is indication that the Russians are getting pissed ...

we better be prepared to THINK and not just play politcal games and bomb empty buildings... and make fancy names like shock and awe...lol

Shock and awe... is troops that wil bash heads in with a rifle but and line bodies up in the street... not have court cases over... poor treatment of the enemy and debate LOL if water boarding is torture or not...

In a real war...not that this has been fake.... but if Russia plays, their troops will not be... avoiding civilian casualties..for starters...

I don't think it's that calculated. I think it's more "You're too close and being far too stupid to let this go any further." Yes, they may be showing their military might, but even in that scenario, don't you think they would drag an entire battalion into the conflict, at least a few more numbers than the supposed 10 percent they kicked down there to end the puny and irrational conflict. Especially with Georgia killing a reported 1400-1800 people almost overnight. Firing rapid artillery rounds on residential areas and blasting away at whatever moves.

I'm down with "intent" but let's call a spade a spade here.

I surely and absolutely hope you are correct... may this be a time I am way off base...

But I must after all...play out allpossible scenarios in my head...

I fancy that if..the sh hits the fan... i can be capable of, being aware of most situations prior to the average Joe and...get me and my kids the F out of dodge so to speak...

so... Cheers to you being right... and Cheers to me...being slightly paranoid and entertaining all possible scenarios...

Russia is not ready for a fight with us, not yet. Russia, now flush with funds, is rebuilding its miltary. While we do underestimate them, as things are currently, if they send any troops, and I stress if, to Iran - said troops would be countered on three fronts.

Also, I think this would re-engergize NATO into doing something more than writing harsh letters. You are right, this is not a real war compared to past conflicts.

I said it before and I'll say it again: This means NOTHING.

NONE OF THIS ADDS UP.

So we have unconfirmed reports that 2 aircraft carriers (plus additional escort groups) are heading to the Persian Gulf..

Firstly, this is all coming from very questionable sources I might add: JP, "Europe blog", & NWO Report.
If the US honestly wanted to start an air campaign they don't need to risk their precious carriers as staging grounds.

They've got the Iraqi border and the Afghani border. They've got airbases coming out of the ass (Bagram, Taqqadum, Incirlik).. they've got Turkey, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia; all good little sock puppets to use as staging areas and supply lines.

There is no need for a massive naval presence.
The US could fly squadrons over Hormuz from the Gulf states and back without refuelling.

This is why I don't buy into this whole WW3/Mass Hysteria.
It's simply NOT sound military thinking.

So America has men and bases lining Iran's borders and now they're going to move in their Navy right in the very narrow straights of Hormuz where they know Iran can deploy hundreds of anti-shipping missiles and launch attacks from their Carrier groups?

Even Tomahawks and AGM's can reach almost all of Iran from US bases on the Gulf.
It doesn't add up. I'd like to see some verifiable sources here.
Not blogs or more hawkish, Zionist newspapers.

Another thing, 2 Carrier groups is a seriously measly effort if Washington are actually planning to authorise some air strikes on Iran in support of Israel.
That would compromise at the most, around 150 fighters.

With 150 planes it would take a ridiculous amount of sorties to even make a dent on Iran's hardened underground facilities (some of which are buried under 200ft of earth and concrete, which ordinary GBU's can't touch) and expose them to a wide range of S-2-A threats from Iran's advanced Russian SAM systems.
It would be a very dumb move militarily to say the least.

The sheer amount of ships that have been listed as en route to the Gulf is what casts a doubt over this whole thing to begin with, I mean it constitutes like 1/3 of the US Surface Fleet.
And a surprising number of them are Destroyers.
For what purpose?

To defeat the mighty Iranian navy... lol?

This isn't WW2, there haven't been that many US battleships put to sea since Normandy to my knowledge.
I smell some serious fear-mongering here...

Let's wait for some reasonable, partial sources to verify this....

www.navy.mil : Operation Brimstone "More than 15,000 service members from four countries will participate in Joint Task Force Exercise (JTFEX) 08-4 "Operation Brimstone", July 21-31 in North Carolina and off the eastern U.S. coast from Virginia to Florida."

USS Ronald Reagan's .mil website "Four ships and more than 5,000 Sailors of Carrier Strike Group 7 (CSG) 7 departed Japan July 31 and August 1"

And where in those incredibly convoluted sources does it state any ships are headed for the Persian Gulf?

Like I said, you people are reaching here.... wait for your eggs to hatch before making the call.

Rumor has it that the Russian attacks on Georgia are related to the just opened Caspian Sea oil pipeline. Apparently Russia is not happy with this new outlet of Caspian Sea oil to the West.
