When you speak it's vibration is recorded some where in the universe.

When God speaks it is the universe.

Might have something to do with frequency of the instrument played?

You may not be exactly right but I would absolutely agree anyway.

Still I have this idea of maintaining the balance where there is none possible.

Belief and knowing are two different things.

Why believe if you cannot experience?

Do you realise that these two statements contradict each other? Belief is for people who don't know.

Ya I don't think you can know anything without first believing it.

Again you have a choice.

"Belief is for people who don't know." What is that about?

Oh yes, I believe no matter whether people know or don't know. Obnoxious twisted stuff, it really pulls your brain out.

I believe what we know collectively would fit on the head of a pin
in comparison to all that is knowable and therefore I believe someone
has to know it all.

Your turn

We don't need to know a lot.

Simplicity means a lot.

One trade, some kindness and the ability to learn from the god.

Glory be, a post worth replying to.

Um I disagree dispensationalism is merely dividing the word of God according to who he is speaking to and the age he is speaking in.

Correct. It assumes the Bible is literally true and then tries to explain away the contradictions in Scripture through Scripture itself. In other words, it assumes what it is trying to prove, one of the most obvious logical fallacies there is.

Not really a science at all.

Quite right. More like a puppy chasing its own tail.

It takes away most all of the little toys you atheists like to play with.

Who told you I was an atheist? Did you not read where I said, earlier, that ‘whether God exists or not is a question on which it is unwise to hold any opinion’?

As for what it takes away, that depends on whether or not you believe in ‘dispensationalism’. What evidence, apart from ‘expert’ opinions you don’t believe in, can you put forward to show that it is true?

The Bible even instructs us to do this... ‘Study to shew thyself approved unto God.’

I’m afraid you have misunderstood the meaning of ‘study’ in early seventeenth-century English. It doesn’t mean ‘to carry out scholarship’; it means ‘Make an effort.’ Here are those verses as given in a few other translations of the Bible:
  • Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth. (American Standard Version)
  • Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision. (International Standard Version)
  • Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (New International Version)
  • Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker not-needing-to-be-ashamed, cutting-straight the word of truth. (Disciples’ Literal New Testament)
  • Do your best to win full approval in God's sight, as a worker who is not ashamed of his work, one who correctly teaches the message of God's truth. (Good News Version)
  • Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration. (New Catholic Bible)
  • Busily keep [Busily care, or keep,] to give thyself an approved, praiseable workman to God, without shame, rightly treating the word of truth. (Wycliffe Bible, pub. 1382)

See what i mean?

Reading the Bible without it is what enables you.

On whose authority are you saying this? Your own? Nothing in 2 Timothy, nor anywhere else in Scripture, suggests that ‘dispensationalism’ is the key to understanding the Bible.

The core of the problem we face today you say?

Paul Harvey had it figured out;
youtu.be...

Is a short and very enlightening video says more than most.

If any one reading has never heard of him, or his words, highly advised to do so. It's very telling about world issues.

I'm familiar with Harvey and his somewhat prophetic 1960s analogy.

"If I were the devil" it freaks a lot of people out.

In my view just some really good critical thinking in allegory form.

This if you ask me is just over thinking it. Stick to the KJV it's the only
one I go by and by rightly dividing the word you gain significant understanding.

Who told you I was an atheist? Did you not read where I said, earlier, that ‘whether God exists or not is a question on which it is unwise to hold any opinion’?

I don't see how this tells me you aren't an atheist and you've
also said a lot of other things. Of course I could be persuaded
by any real objection. Do you have one?

On whose authority are you saying this? Your own? Nothing in 2 Timothy, nor anywhere else in Scripture, suggests that ‘dispensationalism’ is the key to understanding the Bible.

I wasn't aware I needed authority to make such a simple observation.

Anyway I think it's safe to say that someone with your knowledge would
easily understand the Bible if you wanted to. I don;t think you want to
at all.

I wish there was more critical thinking these days. Seems it followed common sense and became endangered enough to be nearly extinct.

Well Dave Mustaine might call you a fool.

Mustaine

And Bob Dylan might agree.

Dylan

Only the secular would doubt who Dylan was referring to.

We can go thru the many musical artists, politcians even the vatican
and prove the devils existence by the many venues and personalities
that obviously believe worship and serve him. Sadly if you choose to
ignore what's right in your face? It can only be because you have decided
God does not exist. And you can't believe in one without the other.

Soon you won't be able to ignore the truth. That's just what time it is.

This is at the core of every problem we face today.

Oh, good grief. True, you can't have one without the other.

Also, Belief of something does not mean belief in something, and for goodness's sake watch that tone.
