Well Dave Mustaine might call you a fool.

Mustaine

And Bob Dylan might agree.

Dylan

Only the secular would doubt who Dylan was referring to.

We can go thru the many musical artists, politcians even the vatican
and prove the devils existence by the many venues and personalities
that obviously believe worship and serve him. Sadly if you choose to
ignore what's right in your face? It can only be because you have decided
God does not exist. And you can't believe in one without the other.

Soon you won't be able to ignore the truth. That's just what time it is.

This is at the core of every problem we face today.

So the metal cuckoos claim the devil exists... CIA agrees with them wholeheartedly. Especially with that one black-haired dude (what was his name?) with an upside down cross tattooed on his forehead. His song became a torture hit in Guantanamo Bay.

The old “rock music makes you a satanist” argument? You nutcases need some new material. This one is 40 years out of date.

I love rock music. And metal. And Satan! Oh no! I said the quiet part out loud. Ah well, Hail Lucifer!

Non serviem.

The rest is bs. The point I can agree with.

Give me 1 good reason to serve. I can serve more worthy and needy by closing my eyes and forgetting the penultimate and that sir is the reason I think your god is a sicko.

Genuinely mean no offence with that btw. Despite the fact my words probably paint me as a Satanist, stuff happens as they say.

Why do you think they will portray you as a satanist? 😆

Dave Mustaine went born again, so it checks out.

I have always seen Satan like Captain Ahab. Like he gets so freaking obsessed and possessed with killing a whale he loses his admirable traits completely and his quest to assert his will ends up getting him tangled in the anchor chain and drown.

That's not really a force as much a self-driven narrative that walks you through the hellfire in any case.

But Ahab couldn't let that f*cking whale go, so the "devil" rolled him under.

In music, I guess that would apply to an Axl Rose circa 1991 type, where he was such a histrionic demanding bitch the devil marched his career from relevance. Maybe Dave Mustaine when he was blacking out and allegedly knocking up 14 year olds as a member of Metallica could apply to being rolled over by the devil.

As far as Satanism as a 'religious' form, it's not actually represented much in Satan themed music. I feel some rappers actually lay it out better, and without black lettering and Spinal Tap inflatable devils.

This verse sticks out:

Cause you'll never take my pride from me
It'll have to be pried from me, so pull out your pliers and your screwdrivers
But I want you to doubt me, I don't want you to believe
'Cause this is something that I must use to succeed
And if you don't like me then f*** you
Self esteem must be f****** shooting through the roof 'cause trust me
My skin is too thick and bullet proof to touch me
I can see why the f*** I disgust you
I must be allergic to failure 'cause every time I come close to it
I just sneeze, but I just go achoo then achieve

Looks within to survive/thrive, not to anything external. It attempts to live accountable to one's own tendencies and actions, and use adversity to forge a stronger character. Not let the devil, the hostile default of nature, roll them under as they go.

That self-determination just has a tendency to go overboard now and then.

Ever since I heard that Dylan interview where he refers to the "chief commander" I have used that term for Satan or anyone I don't like. Didnt one of the Nirvana boys also make a reference to satanism at an award show? Personally to me a not really religious person it seems like the lede is a bit buried in the whole Jesus thing. Think about it, he does everything they say that either the antichrist or Satan will do. So? Am I missing something or is the Bible pretty open to interpretation.

It sure wakes a lot of people involved in the industry up to agreement.

Wouldn't you agree? I love rock also my good member. Of course I do.

A state of remiss I may visit but I've never been closed to convincing. I've also learned to walk away. Hence the "non serviem" comment. Yeah I know I'm dumb

Terry, it is Terry right?

I've loved and been loved. I'll happily serve I'm just not a fool... or maybe the biggest fool of them all.

Doesn't matter to me I know where I'd rather spend energy and I know when I'd rather it wither away. My servitude is spent locally and it brings smiles.

That's more than I ask for. Gifts all round really.

Awesome song btw, can't say I heard that one ...
