I don't believe that God is all knowing and that our entire life is already programmed out. I think that whoever wrote that was either an idiot or a minion for Satan.

So when we screw up its God dammit or Jesus Christs name used in vain. That's something to ponder. Why does the "evil' one get a pass as have you ever heard anyone use Satan's name in vain?

I drop the GD and JC bombs all the time? Why? I don't know as they never did anything to hurt me.

Yeh it just doesn't make much sense from all sorts of different angles.

You know what I've never actually thought about that before, but it is indeed something that we do.

Might be a biblical Freudian slip in there somewhere or another methinks.

Why does the "evil' one get a pass as have you ever heard anyone use Satan's name in vain?

Im not sure, but i do know that evil seems to occur wherever and whenever there is an imbalance in nature and/or our society.

Well, monkey see monkey do would be my guess there, we probably do so because we heard our parents and others do exactly the same.

Your honesty was as anticipated as it is appreciated.

And I'm not here to convert or convince or correct anyone but simply
to offer up a different opinion on occasion. I do wish people would
understand that ignorance is easy to spot regarding any topic someone
just spouts off about. i feel priviledged to see what most of the world
is missing, Right in plain sight.

Any way fair enough.

Everything is always hidden in plain sight, as its the best place to hide things.

All the best, and have a good day.

Need to go deal with my Tomato plants now and play in the real world for a spell.

Enjoyed the conversation and you enjoy the remainder of the day.

Would you mind pointing out the scripture where the soul ceases to exist when the body dies? Then after that would you mind explaining the resurrection? What wound be the point of the resurrection of the soul ceases to exist ? What us the meaning of Jesus dating, “I Am the way, the truth and the Life?” What dues he mean by it, and why would he say it if the soul ceases to exist? Or is it just mincing words for the soul to follow Jesus in the Way? Where does the sound follow Jesus to? And if the soul follows Jesus, how can it cease to exist?
What do you think about the Hindu teaching of Nirvana?

I had a stroke in April 2009. Was in 3 hospitals for 32 days. In ICU for 10. Was blind and I could not walk. I could have willed myself to die but I didn't want to. I am not a fat guy. The stroke was related to several sports concussions. Three neurosurgeon's, one from each hospital said that I should have died. I wrote two Threads on it years ago.

I witnessed over a dozen people die in hospital. I then also felt this crazy energy inside my upper chest. It happened over a dozen times and would come and go. Once released from the hospital it never happened again until the day my father in law died in December 2011. My sister in law was with me when it started. She said that it was Jim. He doesnt know he died and that's his soul's energy as he hasn't passed over yet.

I spoke to God that day my stroke happened. I dropped the F bomb on him and asked for another 40 years of life. I told him I am a good man yet if he takes me over the filth next door he can go F himself. I am not proud of what I said and asked forgiveness. Today I can run full speed and play basketball. I still have my moments along with 24 / 7 fingers to toes numbness on my left side.

In May 2021 I felt this unconditional loving warmth that was channeled through someone I met to me. It caused me to get off my butt to seek answers. I returned to the church. Father Morey said she channeled Gods love through her to me.

This unconditional love is also described in numerous books and articles among NDE (Near Death Experiences)

IMO God exists, yet we have our own free will to decide which way to walk. I am no saint but today I go to church and pray with a rosary weekly. Its my agreement with Father Morey for ongoing Spiritual protection under the Catholic Church

Some answers
Ezekiel 18:20A

The soul who sins dies.

Ecclesiastes Chapter 9

2It is the same for all. There is one fate for the righteous and for the wicked; for the good, for the clean and for the unclean; for the man who offers sacrifices and for the one who does not sacrifice. As the good man is, so is the sinner; as he who swears an oath is, so is he who is afraid to swear an oath. 3This evil is in all that is done under the sun, that one fate comes to all. Also, the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live, and afterwards they go to the dead. 4[There is no exemption,] but whoever is joined with all the living, has hope; surely a live dog is better than a dead lion. 5For the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing, and they no longer have a reward [here], for the memory of them is forgotten. 6Indeed their love, their hatred and their zeal have already perished, and they will no longer have a share [in this age] in anything that is done under the sun ......Whatever you find to do with your hands, do it with all your might, for in Sheol, where you are going, there is no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.

For those that don't know "Sheol" is the Hebrew word for the common grave of humanity, but was translated to "hell" to fit the desires of the Catholic clergy.

Finally this scripture answers how God views what death does to human sin as was illustrated by Jesus death, only his covered all of humanity. But our death just covers our sins alone when we die.

Romans 6:7

For he who has died has been acquitted from [his] sin

For this to work our soul must die.

The average Christian will continue in their delusion until
some form of catalyst leads them to greater truth.

A thousand years from now they'll still be waiting for
a rapture, when just a little study on Cycles, and/or
the Nag Hammadi Library would help to dissuade
them from their present course.

One of the areas that would help is the Vatican Library,
where they'd learn the truth that the books from the
Bible were from material stolen and used from the
Alexandrian Library.

History records a lie to those responsible for the
Library fire. Most refuse to see the obvious.

The obvious: Who was responsible for the burning
of thousands of manuscripts that was in disagreement with
a certain religious dogma?

How do you interpret this verse, Matthew 5:29.

“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

It sounds like hell in this context means death, yes?

And if that is so, how does removing your “right eye” prevent death?

Greetings. Unfortunately the King James Version takes many different words that mean different things, such as Sheol, Hades, and Gehenna and translates them all as hell. As is the case with this verse. Hell is indeed the Grave where people go to rest in the sleep of death until the resurrection. But in this verse Jesus was not alluding to or referring to the Grave. In the Greek he used a word that is translated Gehenna, which was the Greek name for the Valley of Hinnom where the Israelites burned their refuse or garbage. There is no reference or evidence that humans or animals were burned there.

The Bible writers used Gehenna as a symbol of complete destruction, the "second death" from which there is no resurrection.

The "removing the right eye" detonates avoiding doing a certain thing or avoiding a circumstance that may tempt you into a moral sin, or from stumbling, or stumbling someone else. For example, a person may have had an addiction to alcohol. Not wanting to fall into temptation and going back to the habit of being a drunkard they may decide personally from refraining from drinking alcoholic beverages.

Romans 6:7

To add to this, and thank you for the explanation, even the Mosaic Law taught us God's view of justice:

"But if a fatality does occur, then you must give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, blow for blow."-Exodus 21:23-25.

So God's justice does not go beyond, that is punish too extreme, and it is not too lenient. Although it does allow for mercy, because of Jesus' shed ransom and a person's heart condition. In fact when a person himself shows mercy to others, they are in effect putting themselves in a position to be justly shown mercy from God. That is why scripture says that the merciless will be judged without mercy, and that mercy triumphs judgement:

"For the one who does not practice mercy will have his judgment without mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment."-James 2:13.

Concerning sin*, the Bible says that death is the wage, or the salary, or the price paid:

"For the wages sin pays is death."-Romans 6:23.

And as Blue Jay cited earlier in his post a person who dies has been acquitted of his sin. That is after death a person no longer is held to account for the sins he did while alive, as death is the payment for them. So the idea that God torments people for an eternity in a Hellfire for a few short-lived and troublesome years while alive on earth is a gross slander and affront to God's view of justice.

I for one refuse to limit God in any way. I don’t believe that he is limited by what we see in the Bible. The Bible is there as a historical record, and as a guide for us to live by.

If you believe that God is the supreme being as I do, then he can literally do anything he wants. We can change our minds about things at any time, why can’t he? GOD is not a static being that only jumps out of a book when you open it.

There has been a bit of time since the Bible was written, who is to say he can’t change his mind? As a matter of fact it’s clear that he has. All you need to see that, is to see the differences between the Old and New Testament. I guess my point is, we don’t know much of anything, how can anyone say they do. We search for understanding. God isn’t limited by what we believe.

People that live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

The Bible that was translated by JW did exactly the same thing. How many words like “lord” were translated by your scholars into the word Jehovah? Some 289 times I believe. Translated I might add by people that had no formal studies of language. To be fair, one knew some Greek.

Every time the Bible is translated something is lost. The JW translation is self serving. Words were changed to shore up the JW beliefs. Especially anything that alluded to Christ being God. Change a word, and you change the meaning of a statement.

I know that you perceive me to be satanic because I question “ your Bible”. Im ok with that, because it’s not true. Anyone that dares to disagree with you earns that. Yes?

I ask you again, what is the punishment for false prophets, and changing Gods word in your Bible, or don’t you adhere to that?

"Every good gift and every perfect present is from above, coming down from the Father of the celestial lights, who does not vary or change like the shifting shadows."-James 1:17.

“For I am Jehovah; I do not change."-Malachi 3:6.

Jehovah does not change, he does not vary or shift as do the shadows because of the sun moving across the sky.

And while it is obvious that the Bible doesn't teach us all about God that would be impossible. It does completely equip a Christian for everything they need for salvation:

"All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work."-2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Sounds to me like you’re doing a lot of mental gymnastics to be dishonest about the meaning of “Hell” or “Gehenna” in Matthew 5:29.

It obviously refers literally to death.

Better to lose part of your body and live, than to die and have your whole body turn to ashes, is literally how the verse reads.

Therefore, if one is serious about understanding the ultimate message of the Bible, he or she must answer, what part of your body can you cut off, in order to avoid death?

Your right eye? Your right hand? No those are riddles for another body part…

I agree with you. It is talking about literal death. That's what I stated in my reply to you isn't it? Or what did you think I meant? Perhaps my communication is poor.

You said, in regards to Matthew 5:29, “But in this verse Jesus was not alluding to or referring to the Grave.”

It sounds to me like Jesus is referring to literally dying, being buried in a grave, when referencing Hell or Gehenna in Matthew 5:29. Do you agree?
