Definitely use your GPS. It is crazy how quick a change there is.
That said, leave the falls going up river from the falls. The river will be on your right. About 5 miles down on your left is a great diner....can't
remember the name. It was red last time I was up that way. But that was pre covid.

I live here, well, about 10 miles north, I have to ask a question...WHY?
The Canadian side is so much better. The only "attraction" in NY is the Casino. You really don't want to 'wander' around downtown Niagara Falls, NY.
You could see all the sites and attractions on the American side in a day easy.
Canada has it's own Casino and SO much more. Many very nice hotels with GREAT views of the falls (US has 1 nice hotel, casino, with NO views of
falls.
You can spend at least a day walking around Clifton hill, it is VERY touristy(sp), you could easily spend another day doing things related to the
falls. Cave of the winds, whirlpool cable car, great trails(US has some great trails too)
We joke here the only reason you go to NFNY is to get a great view of Niagara Falls, Canada.
Niagra Falls (Canada side) was great fun all round.
You can get most things in other places, so for me the sound is unique.
First time I went, I had to walk up to the Falls and there was this increasing 'wooshing' sound that just got louder. It was awesome, unlike anything
else.
And I'm still not convinced there is that much water in the world, I revoon they pump it round.
Yeah, I've been checking out all there is to do in Canada, we'll definitely spend a day on that side.
There will be ( hopefully ) 1 day for golf.
I got a pretty good deal on a room at the Seneca Casino, so will probably stay there. Reviews are mixed, I take them with a grain of salt. You're not
going to please everyone all the time.
