Also - it's none of russia's business what languages another country chooses to recognize.

That is very true...

BUT it is the business of the people that have lived there for 100s of years and have used that language on that land for 100s of years. This is the whole point of them separating.

Of course it was.

Until russia invaded.

Then it no longer mattered at all.

Because Ukraine is allowed to defend itself from foreign invasions.

"Of course it was" lol but the new Ukrainian government didn't care what the Russian speaking Ukrainians thought, he just called them all terrorists and started attacking them with the army and the government backed Nationalists/Nazis. He didn't want to work with them, he didnt want to hear their concerns or respect the way they had been living their lives for generations. The government that everyone in these Eastern Ukrainian regions voted for got ousted by the US backed Nationalists. These people knew their vote and their say no longer meant anything so why wouldn't they want to leave Ukraine?

Just like Crimea, Ukraine let Crimea go down the crapper. It was "just a bunch of Russians" living there So they had no interest in investing money in the area, no interest in Improving the infrastructure, no interest in doing anything to help the Russian speakers there. That why almost everyone in Crimea voted to separate from Ukraine and when they did Russia immediately invested $20 billion in the area fixing g it up. Other billionaires came in and built hotels, restaurants, malls etc something that nobody in Ukraine would do. 7 years after Crimea left to join Russia, in 2021, the people in Crimea had no regrets and were happy they did the move.

Were they committing terror attacks at the time?

Then the terrorist label was accurate.

I'll wait for evidence of these laws you and russian propaganda claim exists.

Worry about it in 250 years or so when it's even a remote possibility, we have real problems to deal with today.

Feel free to interpret as you wish.

I will interpret with a positive viewpoint as I see it -- because I do not turn a blind eye to how something can be done right. Done with benefit to citizens.

Pretty good odds actually... love when people bring up something like that as if its some statistical anomaly worthy of the old conspiracy woo woo.

How many people do you have in your government system as politicians between all parties?.. 535 or so?... so 4 out of 535 WooooooOOOOooooOoooo... spooky.

At least you threw a republican in there, even if it is the one the MAGAs seem to hate with a passion, which is the only reason he's in that image lol.

I *think* far too much.

No possible way it could ever work anytime in the near future, a problem for several generations into the future to deal with.

Meanwhile, we have an actual madman threatening to nuke the planet in a tantrum, and today problems in lots of other countries.

What happened the last time the US went full isolationist?

Japan ended up with Godzilla and Hentai.

While everyone else got world wars.

Godzilla and Hentai came after the 2 atomic bombs.

I don't know what hentai is, and don't think I want to.

Which is worse, ww2 or Godzilla?

I'm not really sure.

Sadly it seems NATO still hasn't understood it's already involved.
I just wish I could one time feel proud to be a part of it.
But if you can rely on one thing: politicians always make the wrong decision.
If we were a democracy we would have gotten suggestions how to approach the issue by now and got a date when we'll vote to decide.

Yeeh involved indeed. Maybe NATO should define also the rules again regarding the whole process how country can join. Now just 1 country can block new member in theory, i think they should update the rules IMO but that`s just my wild opinion now. Like Turkey now seems to play something regarding Sweden/Finland NATO membership .

Politicians are many times playing other games, 4D chess behind voters back .

Exactly, we not only not get to decide we're not even informed.
But if it blows up in their face it's us who have to deal with it.

I think the US should have been kicked out when they murdered all those people in the Middle East.

NO WAY..... ukraine is a corrupt State & in bed with Bidens

russia is trying to carve out a cuba sized area of ukraine to keep so proxy combat can be never ending... Putin is trying to negate the USA 'Monroe Doctrine' in reverse there in Russian territory
