Stay away from cults!

This is a video which I found on YouTube which glosses over a few interesting cults, and what they lead to. Before you watch it I want to say that I've seen hardly any posts on here in the Religion forum lately, and many of them seem to be related to cults. Do NOT join a cult, just accept Christ into your heat and obey his commands! Do not let the satan fool you!

Haven't watched the video but have relatives in the Jehovah's Witnesses and have seen their eyes 'possessed' is all I can say. May be in your video above.

Some 'Christian churches' are a cult also. They don't teach anything but take tithes and turn them into private jets and just hidden money for themselves.

That's exactly what the Christian Satan would say, too. Just obey to his commands.

For some faiths, Christianity is a cult as they stole a lot from Paganism (like it or not it's a fact) to please the heathens. Not judging your faith though, believe what you want.

All religions are cults. How do you think they started?

The only diffrence between a cult and a religion is it's size and it's age, hence at one point in history Christianity was a cult.

What about all the Christian offshoot, they would be cults to?
is the seat and authority of Christianity located in the vatican?

It really boggles me that there is so much intolerance towards other religious systems displayed by the main religions. When I hear that these are religions of peace and tolerance, when your god loves everyone, why is it ok that his followers spew alot of hate towards other religions/cults, it just doesn't add up.

Don't get me wrong there are some really beautiful lessons to be learned, studying the big religions.
The institution behind these religions suck. Yet only the religions backed by these institutions are considered religions and not cults... Sooooo

Why is it that it's mostly brought up by those that accuse others of following that? Must be a cult of their own.

"Cult" is a subjective label without a clear objective definition, but the key warning sign to look for is "novelty".
Novelty in an institution. Especially if there is a clear focus on the present human leader. Especially if the present human leader is also the person who founded it.
Novelty in teaching. Any departure from traditional teaching (genuine "reformers" are always looking to restore the original form). Conformity with the Nicene Creed remains the simple acid test.

While wrong, the inquisition is different than the two I mentioned. It's goal was the purging of heresy, meaning it was attacking its own many times.

A cult creates an insular environment where that's often not needed. They can warp and define there own reality within the group that. Many of those members willingly did what they did, including feed poison children.

I do cop to being in the cult of "sex, drugs and rock and roll" however.

Impossible for a Theologian as it is their chosen "path" like an Archeologist when it comes to digging in peoples graves of history.

When a theologian "finds" Buddhism it may seem like home but try not to get enraptured as it makes Archaeologists more money and study. Over three quarters of the world population are aware of the Diamond Sutta//Sutra somewhere in their past existences or transmigrations being a "slave" to some conceptual godhood that was either appointed to it or accepted the throne by way of "spiritual birth " on it.

The largest two 20th century "cults" that help "jog" those people back to the gold standard are theosophy and Levey's style of it having had a division of theology in the path and study of it. Like the branch davidian guy thinking he was a son of david or jew and denying christ Levey felt or thought himself of the Levites or levanant branch... The davidians say blood is blood in the body and the Levantants said bread was bread and just happy to receive it as his body.

Embodiment of anyone not self is that OBE nonsense trying to pack a cup full of Catholic "demons" where they do not belong as if there should not be ANY doors or blocks to the religion or study here of spilling over into the streets... as a draw off of them straight to the heart like an arrow or a "calling" as it were. No different than brass in Louisiana calls people's hearts on one side or the other from mourning to revery. Hence the movement called revivals and evangelism.

Other than all of that business? It's nice to know you've declared Orthodox... however the Catholic church is divided between protestants and orthodox making it a heterodox out of Vienna no real different than democrat and republican as far as the Anglicans are concerned. Greek Orthodox harkens back to the division between the Tartars and the Ottomans or basically when a Catholic married a Muslim. Their peace and vws have to do with no anal or homosexuals in their family or they are immediately dis-owned or disavowed not allowed to be buried or they will not find any rest on such blessed grounds... the hermit that lights the way enlightens them not other than the direction they should continue on light or no light... if they turn back? They fall into what is referred to the bottomless pit or one of darkness.

There are four divisions in Mahayana style Buddhism MIrror, Mind, Tantra, & Law. Vowed or robed Sattva? They must never forget to say their three refuges everyday or they are considered fallen into such a "pit" as previously mentioned.

To get out of any cult you should stop watching and reading media, because repetition permeates.

you should stay away from electronic bibles as those have been modified.

you should stay away from the structure of religion, as it was not as originally intended and has been permeated.

there are a lot of things that you dont need.

Look for the original pray from Jesus (the pray that you know it is not the original, it has been altered in 2 key meanings: god is not in heaven, originally is: God IS heaven. And give our daily bread, originally is give our SPIRITUAL bread).

And realize that the pray to God comes from a long time ago as it is in Egyptian writings two millenia before Jesus...

also you will realize that genesis 1:1. bereshi t..."In the beginning, God created the heavens and earth" is also in the ancient Indian Teachings, of their creation.

yes, ancient cultures originally sharing the same creation and God.

not what they told you, isn't it?


then you should stay with the pristine teachings, and become free.

and remember, that Jesus talked with the woman who was not from his religion and helped her...

Be heartly introduced to the CULT OF DUCKISM. Where we tend to our feathery and beaky friends until we feast on them. And once in the month we have a tombola too and nobody is forced to eat stale bread handed by a priest.

It's always diffrent with Christianity isn't it... They adhere to a group that has done bad things in the past they identify with their doctrine, yet one is completely innocent for your institutions past, someone should tell that to the nazis
