Stay away from cults!

Fine video. It starts out ranking cults not by overall influence but rather by the death count among members, hence making no mention of cults that do not have a recognizable death count and grow into larger movements.

The video also near the beginning gives a simple list of ''types'' of cults. Most on the list involve spiritual and psychic ''draws'' that bring people in but the last one on the list is possibly the most dangerous.That one is categorized as ''political and social'' cults.

The first 40 minutes of the video are historical descriptions of several cults, how they formed how they lived and what spurred them to death. Only in the final 10 minutes does it get into what it is that draws people in general to join a cult. Not the message as much as the people. Often family and friends.

Another point that I found spot on in the video was the notion that runs through not only all of the cults examined but into our everyday lives at this time. The end times. The Apocalypse, and in one fashion or another, a charismatic leader to help guide us into better times.

And finally, right near the end, the presenter in the video touches on what for me was the most insightful and concerning observation in the entire video when he suggests '' and in the end we all kind of brainwash ourselves''

This sounds like an insult to the sacraments and Catholicism to me. I don't really care if you are anti Catholic but do you think they are a cult?

Well it isn't. Having gone through this for years you can cut me some slack. I think as a former Catholic I can point out such things, having believed in them myself.

It's not insulting or ridiculing, I know Catholics that made such jokes and believe me South German Catholics are second to Polish when it comes about being picky on faith.

But I like it how you first insult Christians by comparing them to your beloved "Q"-cult but take offense when I make a joke about Hostie.

The Nazi's being a Labour worker party weekends and not doing a damned thing other than enjoying the fruits of their labours was IDEAL going to any of that business they grew up in that they already knew? WAS not.

When I was a small boy putting the vocation my grandfather taught me by why of mouth into proper livelihood? All those jealous hateful boys and teens used to show up and try to ruin my enjoyment of it. Of course them being doomed or damned to hell is enough words on the issues or subjects that arose out of their mouths.

Even though small? I was putting food on the families table, not an isle of rot that weren't taught nor cared to learn the skill or trade there of... my teacher was a big man in those parts and all others small fries acting like big men when they weren't.

Naxis recognized the BS when they knew the trade or craft as the education was not to be changed; still a thorne in their sides yay furniture but how are they any different than those three showing up on my Halcyon days? Robbers are always Barons anyone that forgets that don't like shortcuts that such robber barons "provide" treating them as if they were their own "providence".

HIs mother said to have died in childbirth may have been a rouse that took him to long to figure out. And I was raised in a Southern Pentecostal environment and I know full well what some Christian cults practice even in this age of enlightenment. "Q" is a lightweight compared to this. Perhaps you can cut me some slack as well.

I think the Vatican and the Pope are heretics to be quite honest, but yes it's the that a cult is simply a small religious sect. This post is regarding what I believe to be a dangerous group which has spilled onto ATS. Poke around and you'll see what I mean. One user was very excited about it and then mentioned "why wait, I'm uploading now" and I have not seen them on since. I was expecting a follow up or something else.

The last part of the Nicene Creed appears to be an apostasy of the origins, which seems to have been added. It appears to be denying witness to the original teachings, through denouncing any who have been/are/would be initiate in the original teachings

Self comes (and must come) first as primary to all such things, because without such, preponderance could not be

jeremiah 33:3 sounds to me like something a demon or spirit would say:
3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

I disagree with you that the Nicene Creed is basically all about ego and individualism wrapped in trappings of Monotheism.
I think once you study and experience the different bodies we all have, astral, energetic, etheric etc you realise we really are all connected as One and that God in Christianity is just a watered down corrupted version of that nowadays.
