I am from the UK so this is a genuine question.

If we side step the anger and hatred for a while and steer clear of the China Joe, head sniffer routines what will it actually mean for the US based on history and precious democratic presidents?

I see a lot of doom and gloom and sensationalism here about the horrors that are supposedly coming bit would like some informed and factual based answers please.

Over here we have labour and conservative and neither of them have actually destroyed the country in a way that people feared they would just kind of messed it up a bit really.

Not that it matters much to a Brit, but some us see a further restriction of our freedoms.
Passing new gun laws and many liberals speaking of re-education camps for those that supported Donald Trump are just two cases that I have in mind.

Higher taxes.

And the media will fawn over the Biden's.

No more harsh media.

Not sure.
We haven't had an actual democrat president in a couple decades.

But I do expect higher taxes, higher unemployment, green everything.

Based on the past? A stronger economy. Gun manufacturers especially will clean up as the Right continues to push their gun grab doom porn. Surprisingly we also tend to see abortion rates go way down.

Outside of that it will be business as usual. Catering to the major corporations will take priority with a few crumbs being thrown to us plebs.

It won't mean much but hopefully an end to the reality T.V. show of the last four years.

Higher taxes? Sure...maybe a happier populace too. Who knows?

Trump tax cuts didn't do jack for me. And that's all that he is praised for...so I hope for just sanity, normality. A governement that does it job and I needn't hear from a crisis everday.

Guess you missed your Antifa pals protesting in Michigan with some boogaloo larpers who support the 2nd?
Blows your "Only right wingers support the 2nd." right out of the water doesn't it?

4 years of politicians stuffing their pockets, empty promises and fake smiles.

I think in their desire for a “return to normal”, you won’t hear much from this administration. They’ll want to creep back in the shadows to get all their back door deals done while America stays in the dark about it. Of course there’ll be unity talks and speeches, but as far as legislation, I certainly don’t see any extreme measures coming in. Never-Biden’s say it themselves all the time, he did nothing in 47 years and it’s not going to change now.

Where did I say that? I said that every time a Democrat is President Right Wing politicians try rile up their base by claiming their coming for your guns. This in turn causes gun sales to go through the roof.

It's already happening as we speak. When I drove by the local gun store last Saturday morning the parking lot is packed. Normally at that time there's maybe two cars.

Higher taxes, and the currently barely afloat small business owners holding the plate for tithing Biden's taxman.

I pointed it out, people scoffed. Watch those scoffing Haves pull an abrupt 180 when businesses start collapsing under higher taxation after being bled dry for a year. The Haves are going to get the rug pulled out from under them, come crying to the forum, and folks like me are going to be all "Tough. I saw this coming, why didn't you? No pity allotment today, get back in line and try again tomorrow. It's ALMOST as useful as a bread line."

Well, if you look at historic economic charts, the US economy does markedly better under a Democratic President. Here's a 2016 report from the Congressional Joint Economic Committee.

The Economy Under Republican vs. Democratic Presidents

So... the economy will almost certainly get better. But what you can expect over the next four years is a constant fight over made up scandals and misinformation. Biden will be a boring president who doesn't do a whole lot to rock the boat, but that will not stop brainwashed Republicans from taking daily shots at him for imaginary reasons. I would say expect the country to be more prosperous, more respected, more American, but on the surface 50% of the people will be yelling "socialist!" and "traitor!" for no apparent reason.

The Biden administration will just nationalize the means of production.

Hunter Bidens value just went way up, higher taxes, higher gas prices, devaluing of the dollar, ramp up wars (middle east and maybe China) for starters

Yep. Ukraine and China got off easy with only a few million when he was the VP's son. Now that he's the POTUS son they'll need tens of millions to gain access.

I'm seeing a lot of people saying higher taxes under a democrat.

How has that worked out historically in terms of improved standards of living?

If you ignore the "tax man taking my money" aspect have higher taxes been beneficial to the nation as a whole?

LOL. You didn't see what you did there.

By your reasoning on guns, might we not say abortion rates go down as the left stops their abortion ban doom porn?

Maybe at first, but I expect a rapid decline in the pass the press, the public, and others are willing to now give him. BLM/Antifa unrest will continue. COVID remains. Most of the right is hostile to him. There will be international conflict.

...and then there are the plans of Kamala & crew.

It's gonna be a very brief honeymoon, but at least he most likely gets one.

It comes down to this; Who spends your money better? You or the government?

I expect new gun laws, environmental regulations, much higher fuel prices, inflation will run rampant, conservatives and religious people will be persecuted, civil rights will be steeply eroded, racial violence against white people.
