Seems like one of those lazy Sundays today that warrants "borrowing" Gordie's credit card again, but for a pizza party this time. I could go for some pizza, pizza would work. The question is, can the Pixies keep their little hands off it long enough for the humans to eat it?

O I ! !

Tuesday here

Water delivery today. Tanks running dry. Fires are still all around. Got to get up on the various roof's and clean the dead leaves out again. Eyes watering at times compounded with a flamin headache. My wife's sinuses are playing havoc with her teeth and gums. She's gone into town to get some medication to relieve it among other things. Masks are a help but after a while they get hot.

Still, that's life living in the bush.

How are you going mate?

Kind regards,

Bally

I've been checking in, but didn't see anyone around. Never got my grocery or prescriptions last Friday. Thank God, I'm going out with my Sister tomorrow! Had an episode where Mark's sugars got too low, then ended up too high. Sigh...

I don't like that you guys are in the middle of ravaging fires.

Good to read that you and yours are still safe.

I've been busy with doctor appointments and waiting to find out if my health insurance will actually pay for anything I need such as a leg brace.

'ravaging' I like the word. More apt for 'true love' but she tends to be ravishing but can also be ravaging at times. err... um..well enough of that more to the topic.

Thanks for your concern. Happy for the water truck to turn up today. Just an update so you can probably understand the smoke from my perspective.

To my south in the, get this, "Guy Fawkes River National Park" also know as the 'Bees Nest Locality' This fire is still going. Burnt out 93,792 Hectares or 231,592 Acres so far. It is said this fire is 'being controlled'. It's a flamin big fire in some tough country.

To my west a fire is 'out of control' in the "Red Range" (Another apt name).
Burnt out 16,637 Hectares or 41,111 Acres. Still going strong.

To the north west is a fire 'being controlled' in the "Nymboida National Park"
This fire has burnt through 13,805 Hectares or 34,163 Acres.

To the East South East is a smaller fire 'out of control' Nymboida. It's got through 19 Hectares or 47 Acres so far.

So it seems not matter which direction the wind is blowing we're gonna cop the smoke. Mornings are worse. Cool, no breeze but the settled smoke is like fog when looking through the windows. Then it ramps up as the temperature increases along with the wind speed.

So, just in my locality alone the fires have currently burnt areas totaling to roughly 1 third of the state of Rhode Island. Enough to smoke anyone out. Word is that the fires may burn for some weeks.

Kind regards,

Bally

Hahaha
Substitute the word 'smoke' for 'rain' in the song. You're a funny bugger P

Cheered me up mate. If you hear from 'Hutch' say g'day.

Cheers NS. Be better than those sillymentals - setting fires ablaze up north. Some have been caught and charged.

Kind regards,

bally
