It’s a balloon of a whale!
No joke.
Whales go through the area and they host whale watching tours.
I knew it was some sort of marine animal balloon.
It’s a large whale balloon to promote its whale watching tours.

Well I dont know if thats a balloon of a whale...

...but that is one whale of a balloon!

*crickets*

I think the fish shape is just the way it appears. I think the lockheed martin weather balloon suggestion fits the best...

I'm not sure why he didn't stop if he thought it was something unusual. As others have said, clearly a balloon of some kind.

Why do people film things on their phone in portrait mode? You only have a sliver of video, in landscape you get a better view. One of my pet peeves

Sorry my cursing and attitude and stuff were meant to be directed at the analysis. I realize it kinda looked like I was directing some of it at you. I wasnt even angry to be truthful I just have a bad mouth and attitude sometimes.

Nah I knew it wasn’t directed at me if anything the OP I just got confused by the tucker stuff I genuinely thought you were in the wrong thread, I thought you were meaning to post it in the thread about the Tucker Carlson drama at that club. You’re all good in my book.

There are a lot of aerostats with that style of fin some have just the lower two and some have the third as well like the one you posted. I think we have it pretty well nailed down to being an aerostat.

He did reference tucker in one of the replies had me doing a triple take. Glad I’m not the only one tripping.

sorry guys but i'm gonna have to disagree about nailing it down completely
i'm not saying it's definitely not a blimp-thing of some nature but it's definitely not the sort that's been posted - for one thing, the 'tailfin' structure is definitely a single piece that projects lower and further and wraps around the body in a way that's entirely counter to the purpose of the tail fins in your average blimpamajig.
also it's a lot harder to tell with this second point due to the low resolution, but it really seems like the body has a distinctly flattened bottom - like if viewed from the side it would be more like an iron than a football.

again, not saying it's NOT a balloon of sorts, just saying i don't think it's as open and shut a case as is being currently implied.
i'd make an edit illustrating what i'm trying to say but i never figured out how to get images properly in-thread on our dear ol' ats. i hope my words are clear enough here

I get what you are saying. Though it might very well be some new design, the flat underside is noticable.

To hell with it,
I’m in Ontario Canada. Free long distance.
I’ll call the marine tourist center and ask them.
Hopefully I can get someone that speaks English. My Francaise is a bit rusty these days.

Will post back shortly

Rest assured mons mais amis, I called our French neighbours and after some broken gibberish French on my part it was revealed to be ....
A research balloon from the MICS!

The Mignan Island Cetacean Study.
The only blue whale research station.

The lady is a bit hard to understand but the word radar was spoken a few times.
So probably something for the whale watching tours.
The phone number is 1-418-949-2302
Danielle is the woman’s name.

They also use drones to track the tagged whales.
But the drones can’t stay in the air for more than an hour at a time.
So a tethered balloon works a lot better.

Now if only MUFON and the other ET research groups would take the minute or two to google the area and then call.
It’s a very small town. Surely even speaking with someone from the area would of revealed wtf it was lol

I had a feeling it was some sort of balloon just by the movements in the video.
