Havard has a new study out where they analyzed several CEO's for several months. They had several findings, but the one that I really noticed was that's CEO's work about 62 hours a week. It's been widely publicized that these same CEO's make up to 350 times more money than the people actually doing the work and making them money. Many working people now work that many hours with a large percentage of workers working 2-3 jobs, yet they struggle just to pay rent while these CEO's are raking in massive amounts of money, often whether they perform well or not. This is just one of the many huge problems with corporatism.

An appalling conspiracy that spans Centuries.

They all must be related to the "Old Families".

It's a slew and tidepool system

I paid my employees on commission. They made their own pay scale.
Sell a lot get well paid. Don't sell a lot. Well look for a new job.

So all we hear from the "Leaders" is "go to college and get a good job".

Then somebody accelerates and boom.

You could always open your own business, pay yourself less money than your employees and be the change you want to see.

So if it's so horrible, why not start a company and make the big bucks?

Instead of, you know, just whining about it.

Because despite people like you trying to push for a socialist system where that would no longer be possible, we still live in a capitalist country where you can do just that.

I went from homeless to having everything I ever wanted in less than a decade, without even starting a company.

I just found out what employers wanted, applied myself and now don't really have to work, if I don't want to.

Although it does take work, a brain in your head and the willingness to live below your means.

So instead of playing the envy card, why not start thinking "how can I do that too?"

Can we apply this to Lebron James too, and 1000s of others, like entertainers?

OMG.

I entirely agree with you.

Is this a sign that the end times are near?

I really have nothing else to say... a star for you!

I don't equate the boss's 62 hour week with the employee's 40 hour week. That doesn't even work in socialism. If the boss were not there, the employees wouldn't have a job at all.

45.9% of worlds wealth goes to 0.7% of the population which is ludicrous. Perhaps they should introduce a law in which the highest paid jobs can be no more than 10x the pay of the lowest paid jobs. Thereby forcing better equality into the system.

Of course! Because then you would take away the incentive to own your own company, thus stifling innovation and lowering the quality of the work force in general.

Brilliant!!!!

/facepalm

Some might say that system would lead into poor quality, lazyness, slacking, and general "who cares" attitudes.

I Dont want to sound like capitalism is bad. But IMO Bezos is showing it has a flaw.

In a decade he is going to be worth 10 times more than the next richest guy.

Eventually he is going to have all of the money.. Like the IRS..

If more money was shared by workers it could result in the opposite.

Yes, I can't understand people still give tons of money to professional sports which does nothing worthwhile and wastes massive amounts of money. No one should get paid millions of dollars for throwing balls around.

It costs tens of thousands of dollars to start a business, and 80% of businesses fail within a few years. Plus I have to pay child support, medical and a mortgage, so I can't throw away all my money on a massive risk.
