5.8 W. of Ferndale..
earthquake.usgs.gov...

With the big quake in Honduras and the biggy in Alaska..this quake could be significant..

Time will tell.

I have felt Cascadia is going to rupture very soon...but good ole Juan might go first.

Shallow both. I have my bug out bag ready...I think kind of old may not be as ready as I once thought

Interesting see the quotes on there
On January 26, 1700 an estimated M9 earthquake unzipped the 700+ mile Cascadia Subduction Zone fault from northern California, USA to southern British Columbia, Canada, much like recent events in 2011 in Japan and 2010 in Chile.

Hope so too, I am right on the main worry spot and a mile from the beach.
Finding it odd that there are no little ones just the two big ones as of yet.

Where are you located? Got family just S. and W. of Salem Oregon.

In the event of a 9+ just West of there, they would be shaken pretty badly.

I wonder how the mountains would buffer the shaking?
edit on 27-1-2018 by radpeteage because: Damn word search!!

I think a lot depends on which part goes off, I wouldn't think it would be to bad there the tsunami is my biggest worry.

These quakes, although quite small are in the danger zone.

There have been VERY few on this part of the subduction zone as long as I have been paying attention!

With all the action on the N. And S. End Of Cascadia, this could be the Awakening a lot of us have feared for years.

This stretch of Cascadia has been locked up for a long time.

I have mixed feelings about the youtube site.

It killed this thread... It really did,
although it is cool to watch in real time.

But now this thread has for the most part gone quiet.

The youtube channel didn't kill this thread. It was when ATS started censoring one of our BEST EQ PROS.

Once ATS censored him too many times (and a handful of us saw this happen in real-time), and that was it. He left, took his invaluable knowledge with him. The rest of us who respect him so, we merely followed the intelligence.

ATS killed this thread.

Much respect.
Cheers.
